I think some Queue-Page would boost the activity ... where ppl can actually see who and how many are queued.
Sadly the WoW-API don`t supports any Real-Time-Communication between the WoW-Client and a WebApp, so this needs to be done manually by each individual user. I´m currently working on something, but wouldn`t continue, if there is no need for such a queue application in this community.
Here my first design-conception:
How this should work:
1) When you queue for BGs in WoW, just log-in on this page and click the "Queue"-Button to get queued on our page
2) When multiple people are queuing from different Servers you will see the how many are queued for horde/alliance and how many are left to get a pop
3) As long as the page stays open in your browser you are kept being queued, when you leave the page, close the browser or shut-down the PC you are getting removed from the queue.
This isn`t the perfect solution, but it`s a possible solution to get some more insights into the 60 bracket. So we get informations about who is queuing and when exactly is the best time for joining the queue. So we can collect data and work with this data to everyones advantage.
While getting regulary updated information of who and how many are queued, the queuing will be much easier. Also we`d have a main-contact-page for every 60 PvP interested player, where we could add daily News (BG-Days, Arena-Tournaments, etc. ) and maybe even track BG history.
Just like, whisp or whatever, if you think this could be a good idea to help the bracket ... if I´ll get enough feedback I´d love to work on this and add more and more features, which are requested by the community.
And this only will work, if there is enough support, if 70% of this community just don`t use the page and are too lazy to queue on the browser and InGame ... it`s just not worth the effort!
On this page I´d give a few ppl moderation, so they could announce nearly every 60-PvP related important stuff, from special BG-Days (AV, AB,WSG) to Arena-Tournaments and much more. This would aim to be No1 in getting informed about what is going up in the PvP-Bracket and what battlegrounds should be queued today.
