Lvl 70 vs Lvl 19 twinking?

Shaun

Legend
So I was working on a Balance druid that I was going to twink @ lvl 70.. but instead I locked at 19 and tried it just for fun.

I'm Really Liking It.

Now I can't decide between going up to 70 or staying 19..

So if anyone could provide the pros/cons of twinking 19 and twinking 70, I'd really appreciate it,

Thanks.

Stay at 19 this bracket is full of 13 year olds :)

As someone who has actively played both brackets for several years, I can say that the 19 bracket has better players. However 70's have the advantage of arenas (outside of wargames) as well as access to other BG's, whereas 19's focus almost all time and energy on WSG. Which is enjoyable as well, because you have so little abilities, and you're always in the same BG, you learn to master minute things like character movement, WSG's jumps, flag clicking etc.

In regards to community, 19 is the way to go. It's a small group of people that have been playing together for years. There's rarely more than 1-2 games happening at a time, and almost everyone has a character on both factions. 70 is a clusterfuck of people who wanted to twink at the easiest bracket possible.

Dunno if I could have said it better myself.. Very well put.

better players at 19bracket not sure if srs. like you have 2 abilites? you spam it and whoever spams it faster wins. just saying this because i THINK so, i've been playing 70 for a while so i know what kind of players that the bracket have but i have not tried 19. can't imagine 19 having better players though since you have like 2 spells

nvm ur US

19 lvls are better players? Ofc when they have maybe 5 abilitys to use it's easy to learn use them. But it's true 70 have more nubs than 19 i think.

Here is my impression of the 19s bracket based on what people from the bracket has said:
Because level 19 twinks have fewer abilities, they like to tell themselves that they learn to master those few abilities really well, and learn to focus on strategy and positioning and so on. This mentally is there because level 19 twinks refuse to accept that their bracket is more casual.

Here's the reality of the situation though; In ANY bracket, in order to become a great player you need to learn your strategy and positioning as well as your abilities. Level 19 twinks have fewer abilities than most brackets, so the learning curve of each class becomes much smaller. That does not mean that you are suddenly better at every other aspect of the game.
You say the 19s bracket has better players? How do you tell? As far as I'm concerned, you can only look at things like positioning when judging a level 19 twinks skill level. And things like that should be 100% in place for even a slightly above average wow player. So how do you tell really good players apart from slightly above average players in the 19s bracket? You can't.

That said, I have nothing against the 19s bracket, and I used to play in it quite a lot myself. However I don't like this 'elitist mentality' that some people within the 19s bracket seem to have.

no wonder why ur name is dogform, you piece of trash.
like ebah said, at 19 you manipulate every skill to the fullest potential, at 70 it has always been the 1 shot bracket.

2 entirely different brackets. 19 is more about how to use your environment and teamplay and 70 is more about how to play your class better. Can't compare that to each other. If you prefer a nice community and playing with a team and needing a team to play well go 19, if you want to get better at a certain class go 70.

My dog recently started playing this game and he got dominated pretty hard by every1 at 70 so he figured he would try out 19bracket since all you have to do is bind arcane shot on every button and you are set. 1 day later he was topping scoreboards every bg, I have never seen him that happy before. If your IQ is under 30 i would suggest going 19

As was already stated in your identical thread in the 19s forum, just level another character up to 70. It takes only a couple of hours to get from 1 to 19.
