Lvl 19 vs Lvl 70 Twinking..

Shaun

Legend
So I was working on a Balance druid that I was going to twink @ lvl 70.. but instead I locked at 19 and tried it just for fun.

I'm Really Liking It.

Now I can't decide between going up to 70 or staying 19..

So if anyone could provide the pros/cons of twinking 19 and twinking 70, I'd really appreciate it,

Thanks.

70s dont get bg pops but they do get arena pops if ur liking 19 why not just roll another druid to 70 and try them both?

Make both of them and try both brackets, there's nothing stopping you from having a 19 and a 70. No sense in asking someone else to make up your mind for you.

Not what I was asking.

I want to know pros/cons then i'll decide

You assume that pros and cons are universal. I hate chocolate cake (srs), does that mean you should too? Live a little and find out what your own pros and cons are :)

It takes a couple of hours to level to 19 - just make an additional character to level to 70 if you feel so inclined.

70 would be way more fun if they removed cata tinkers (Tazik, Synapse, Healing Inject)

i play both of them, used to play 70s very very often. this is my opinion

19 pros:
- games are typically more competitive than 70 (pug bgs)
- it takes a very short amount of time to level to 19
- classes are easy to learn due to having very few abilities (lower skill cap)
- players are generally more objective-minded in bgs

19 cons:
- no arena, only way to do it is wargames
- games can become very boring if teams are continually one-sided
- almost every class has some sort of BiS gear that is grandfathered or costs tons of gold/money
- games only pop during prime time
- professions can be annoying if you have no friend willing to help out
- at 19 when you leave a bg, you need to queue fast in order to get the next game. if you have a slow computer, you will almost always miss the next game and have to wait 20 minutes every queue

70 pros:
- arena happens, from my experience queueing lately there is almost always a team queueing
- more advanced gameplay (more abilities = higher skill cap)
- more battlegrounds are available to play
- rated battlegrounds happen occasionally (although you will have to know people organizing them)

70 cons:
- battlegrounds usually take a very long time to pop (20 - 45 min)
- multiple people with engineering tinkers can ruin competitive pvp by abusing them
- 70 characters can take weeks/months to completely gear out because of raid locks on sunwell / black temple
- leveling professions takes either a lot of farming or a lot of gold

so idk, both brackets have something to offer. the past week or so i've been queueing arena at 70 from around 10am - 2 pm, then hopping on my 19 and playing that with friends when 19 warsongs start popping.

70s were only fun in cata, now all that queue are shitters that are stam stacking immortal healers with 7k shield slamming prot warrs and pallies

Kinda like the pve geared frost mages and rogues of cata?

dis be gud

yeah it is. i hate when people land kills by just randomly throwing a double / triple tazik and globalling someone because the taziks crit

gems are getting nerfed as well, meaning damage across the board will be lowered. the bracket is very bursty right now so depending how much the gem change actually tones down damage by, 70 could potentially be in a very good spot again next patch :D

THANK YOU SO MUCH.. Finally someone listed them.
I love doing arenas and bgs but bgs aren't very active during the day so I may just level to 70..

The op classes of cata were all balanced with each other imo, as a spriest playing against other op classes I didn't think they were bad. The bracket is just infested with keyboard turning 1shotting mongoloids, much like the 19 hunters of cata
