lvl 19 subtlety rogue problems!

Hi

I'm gonna make a lvl 19 subtlety rogue and i have some questions.
Does subtlety rogue wield 2 swords or 1 sword in main hand and a dagger in off hand?
and what are the best enchantments for swords? I was gonna use mongoose but what do you guys think?
And could you tell me what race has the best racial bonuses for a rogue??

Also i would appreciate a lot if somebody would write a short and compressed little guide about twink subtlety rogues :)

Well the biggest spec (Assassin) your gonna need 2 daggers, Also Dancing Steel would be the best enchantment for your weapons as they proc more often than mong. If you do not go assassin you can get away with using swords/maces, but my suggestion is unless you have dual fang go assasination.

As for guides check out the guide section, curley has a well written guide for your rogue needs :)

Edit: Just noticed that Curley's guide only goes into assassination, that is because it is one of the more viable choices at this time. Your gear choices wouldnt be much different if you picked a different spec. My suggestion now would be to check out the Armory threads to see if there is a sub rogue.

For Assassination I thought elemental force was the way to go.
Dancing Steel/Mongoose for Sub.

Pretty much Khoas is right on all accounts, unless you want to try lolCombat

Go with double sacred charge with dancings if subtetly, if you're going assasination 2 BoA daggers (doesnt really matter which ones, but people seem to prefer JP) with elemental force. if you're going horde, it's troll or bloodelf, obviously not orc because the benefit of the buff is so tiny, with 225 herb, slice and dice + troll racial you will reach something around 130% buffed haste if you pop them simultaneously. And blood elf is pretty obvious, the silence is some hardcore shit.If alliance, there's 4 races that are good, Human (trinket + swords spec), Nightelf (shadowmeld + the stealthy shizz), WORGEN (yes, very unusual but 1% passive crit increase + sprint is actually quite good) and then gnome if you plan to only play WSG (instantbombs which are really good when going for flagreturns) + the root effect remover.Hope that helps a bit, the gear is easy to copy from some rogue you find on armory lists.

Dual shadowfang +15 agility.

Sub rogues basically one shot on the opener which is unaffected by dancing steel seeing as how it procs off of the ambush.

Sub rogues in my opinion should rock straight agility and should aim for the highest ambush damage. Afterwards you can always switch to dancing steel if you want to run around playing fury warrior style until you get dropped by an arc mage, boomie, hunter, ele sham or another rogue.

Yes, thats very good if you're planning on ambushing 1 guy in midlane--->stealth--->repeat, but dancings double proc from the ambush 100% of the time, which makes your DPS way higher, when for example, fighting a flag carrier...

So you rather play the spec that revolves around ambushing people instead of the spec that revolves around ambushing people? I can see why you prefer one playstyle over the other.

The difference is that assassination rogues blow up 30% someone's hp pool per mutilate where as sub rogues basically need to go defensive mode out of stealth.

Nice troll though.

How is "defensive mode" related to damage output? Do those 30% mutilates make assassination rogues tankier?

Out of stealth an assassination rogue still destroys everything. Everybody knows that playing assassination rogue is as easy as ambush + mutilate or mutilatex3 and whatever you want to be dead is. It's a huge issue in the bracket.

The mentioning of damage output was simply because Jetlife is under the impression that sub rogues don't do any damage at all. I find myself still out damaging EF rogues as subtlety because I'm working harder at making up for my disadvantage.

I'm purposefully gimping myself by playing subtlety. I say that because post opener a subtlety rogue with dual 15 agility is nearly useless and needs to restealth. It takes more work to put out nearly as much damage as an assassination rogue, thus the challenge.

Never heard about rogues destroying everything out of stealth. They usually don't even hit a target after ambush.

If you outdamage, others rogues it's just because you go out of stealth more often, others rogues just wait for that precious moment to ambush.
