Lv11 MW Monk optimization

I want to preface this post by saying I am extremely new to twinking. How would you optimize the build I linked above? I want to be as powerful as I possibly can be. I have spoken to people that've told me their Rising Sun Kick can one shot bosses, and I have tried a couple of different stat/gear allocations to try and replicate this, but I'm just not seeing it. I found a couple of builds posted on this website to use as reference and followed along those lines to finish my "build". I am also aware that there are rings you can craft in Mechagon and there's no harm in trying to obtain them... but I don't really understand how they'd help THAT much compared to what I'm currently wearing. I have no idea what else I could do (apart from consumables, which I am using).

P.S. I know that people twink at a bunch of different level brackets, and results may vary depending on a couple of different factors, I'm fully prepared to be told there isn't a way to improve this "build"

Several points/questions:

1. How far into 11 were you before you XP-locked? It matters. If it was more than 25% or so, I would start again. Below that you scale as a level 10 so you're going to be like 25% beter;
2. 3 socket Helm from Zangamarsh quest (can proc rare). I forget name.
3. 2 socket boots from Zangamarsh quest (can proc rare). Swamprunner's boots.
4. You bought a lot of vendor TW gear. That's fine. Spam TW dungeons for ilvl 68.
5. The Mechagon rings are ilvl 80 at level 10. There's no beating that. Note: if you are a F2P account you can't buy the recipe because it costs >1000 gold and that's your gold cap.
6. You don't really get anything for being level 11 as a MW monk FWIW.
7. IME RSK *Crits* can one shot Elite trash and take a big chunk out of a boss but not one shot TW dungeon bosses.

thanks goodness i don't have to start over haha, I'm just a hair into level 11

you have the wrong enchant on your boots. since you don't want mastery at all, you want to just get Minor Speed https://www.wowhead.com/spell=13890/minor-speed (you only get Balefire Branch for it's 100 Int on-use effect, not the Mastery)
also, you're missing some Shadowlands gems to get full use out of you Doublets. check this article for more details https://sites.google.com/view/betis10stwinkguide/jewelry#h.3qlqzc1o6uye

BTW, how much damage does your Spinning Crane Kick do per tick? I have 124 Int, 10% Vers, and 23.7% Haste and do 30-32 dmg per tick when i don't crit. I'm wondering how much you do cause you have cut Haste for more Int compared to my build and wonder if it makes a difference or not.

Thank you for your reply, I have looked at what you linked. There have been some slight changes to the gear I'm wearing; my SCKs were doing 42 per tick w/o crit, WITHOUT buffs/consumes, but with the inclusion of the SL gems you mentioned, the ticks are now 35-37 w/o crit. It takes using Brilliant Wizard Oil, Elixir Of Wisdom and my Mage trial character's Arcane Intellect to being SCK back up to 42.

I see now that the Mechagon rings can't really be put off any longer... it's clear to me that grinding them out with all their bells and whistles will wrap a nice little bow around this whole "build".

I see people using a couple other kinds of trinkets, like Ramstein's Lightning Bolts, etc. Is Balefire Branch better? It definitely feels better, altough I see why some people use Ramstein's.

Good to know, thank you. I'll look into prioritizing Int a little more then since that seems to buff the base dmg more than Vers. I personally only use enough SL gems to get 45% speed cap, you can go lower if you want, but definitely don't go higher.

I'm personally a fan of Balefire Branch at all times, and then switching back and forth between Vigilance Charm (drops from Immol'Thar in Capital Gardens TW Dungeon) when doing TW Dungeons and Infinitely Divisible Ooze when doing farms on current timeline cause of how it's programed.

Farms on current timeline? What kind of things do you use your twink for? There is so much I don't know

when farming dungeons for gear in TBC and WotLK content for socketed gear, you'll want Ooze trinket cause, when you're not using chromie or queuing for TW dungeons, the Ooze does like 2k dmg per shot so it almost one-shots dungeon bosses. But when in Time Walking content of any kind, ooze goes back to doing like 19 dmg so you might as well switch to a better 2nd trinket like you have. My personal favorite trinkets are Balefire Branch (always) and Vigilance Charm (for TW content only). Vigilance Charm can be whatever TW trinket you prefer as long as it gives some amount of Int.
