Looking for 2 healers and 2 DPS to take down Lieutenant Drake this saturday evening.

In case you didn't notice the tag: this is EU only, however I encourage the US guys to organise a group too.

If we succeed, the video will be posted on my YT and then shared on WoW Subreddit in order to bring more attention / encourage people to join F2P community. Also, to brag. If you want to make your own video too, that's even better.


The Strategy​

First, we have to clear the trash around, which might take time (@SPQR and others who did some attempts with me know what I'm talking about) then we will take on the boss.

The tank (Me, Holy Paladin) will tank the boss for a couple of seconds getting aggro with selfheals, accompanied with Healer#1 (Discipline Priest) because of Drake's Mortal Strike. After these couple of seconds pass, Healer#2 joins together with both DPS's and Healer#1 stops healing for a couple of sec. Then both healers heal me, I heal myself, and DPS's do their job.

If the damage together with 50% heal reduction is too much for Tank + Disci to handle we will start all together, but might have some aggro issues.


The Party​

Tank: Holy Paladin. That's because the only possible way of keeping aggro is to get it via healing.
Healer#1: Discipline Priest. That's because the absorb is absolutely necessary, also I believe they have the best heals atm.
Healer#2: Not sure yet. Definetely not Disci because the absorb already applies a debuff. Any healer that can give a shield or increase max HP is best for this spot, and if none have abilities like that at the moment then a Resto Druid should be taken to be offtank (basically Growl + Run)
DPS: Two Beast Mastery Hunters. No exceptions here. Hunters are off the charts in DPS when fighting high level mobs. BM has a pet and MM doesn't, and it's a huge increase in damage too.



If you're interested, comments are all yours. Be prepared to be free whole evening though.


If you want to join you need:
1. Whole evening free
2. BiS or close to BiS character (only F2P gear and enchants allowed!)
3. Plenty of consumables. If you don't know what to take, get 40 6stam/vers food and 40 int/agi potions (depending on class)
4. to be Alliance obviously
5. To be prepared for plenty of wipes. If you want to quit after two wipes, just don't bother.

Gone full vet. hardly any unenchanted gear left.
 
Disc bubble stacks you can bring 2
 
Shame if so many EU players have quit or gone Vet. Nobody want to dust off a Cata hunt and just spec BM for the evening?
 
Great idea!! I would love to come and i'm BiS BM/Surv hunter. Personally i think Surv is higher on DMG then BM, however if there are agro probs ranged it alot safer... also the kiting might be neccesary so yeah BM is probably better.
I've got pots/food/drums/ and patience if we whipe.

melees gonna get destroyed if they get aggro due to 2k hits. + range dealing better with misses. you gonna miss alot. hpala with 2 disc and 2 hunters would be able to do it now freezing traps are a thing.

Dont think enchants or food buffs is what he looking for as the main goal is to do it as pure f2p as i understood.

on different note, do you have lvl 34 bow aswell? always wondered how many 19s/20s hunters on eu with full pre expansion maxed gears.

so far you the only 19 hunter on eu i know of.

Ah alright... i hope there can be exeptions for regular 19 twinks to also participate...Because its a kewl idea!
Yep i've got the 34 ilvl Bow aswell
And i was lucky enough to get 2x ilvl 34 Polearm, So i rock 1 with Elemental Force and 1 with Landslide

I also still have about 50 Minor legion boxes and 150 Large legion boxes in case WoW ever changes the way Gear in general works or something... i mean who knows in 5 expansions what changes will be made, its always a surprise. and i might be able to get some goodies from them still.

Im not up on all the technical aspects but... what would it take to do this?

Would some of us need to create toons on EU servers? Would there be prohibitive lag? Is this something several of us could make a project? Like "aight dudes. Lt Drake kill first weekend in June. You have until then to build a toon"?

if we got 4 reliable people, everyone picked a role, geared a toon and then was serious enough to be there and sit through a whole night of wipes then yes, that's possible.
The downside is, making new toons doesn't get us Warforged geared people, it's maybe not a big deal for healers but it's a huge deal for DPS and each mana point is invaluable.

June (maybe late june) is a good idea because of lots of free time most people have, except exams ofc, but we never know when is this gonna be fixed. Raids got fixed after like 2 years? When nobody thought it's ever gonna get fixed and was getting lazy on achievements. That's why I wanted to do it soon-ish, but I guess better late than never.

Here's the deal - if anyone's interested, make an EU account and develop a toon, a disc priest or BM hunter. We'll see how it goes.
