Lorewalking + Chromie Time = more extra dungeon goodness?!!

Looks like this works when you enable Lorewalking AND Chromie Time, then you can queue for most dungeons via Dungeon Finder (LFG).
I haven't had time to test those yet, it's 3am on my server and no one is queuing at this hour.
I also tried walk-ins with Lorewalking + Chrome Time on, and always got rejected with "You must be level 10 to enter" at the instance portal.

Now we need some brave souls to test if mobs and loot scale properly in all those lvl 25+ instances formerly blocked for F2P.
Then I will update my spreadsheet.

PS - Both normal & heroic instances are greyed out for Legion. However you can still select and queue for greyed out instances regardless!
That's when I noticed you can queue for heroic instances from any expansion, but I have no clue if heroic mobs scale down properly. (They don't scale down in solo queue Raids)

PPS - Nothing special about BfA & shadowlands & dragonflight dungeons. They are the same set of dungeons you get with regular chromie time.

I didn't try to queue, but I Rafd myself in to get past the "you must be level 10 to enter"

Legacy loot works
mobs scale
loot scales (30 as expected for my 11)
bounty active

1 attack on this guy was a 1 shot but i think it was just a dont let swirling weaps hit you situation

I am able to queue up, but its extremely slow when queuing for a single dungeon. Does this actually let you in when it pops?

If so, this will make it a lot more reasonable to get in, I haven't bothered with MGT or FoS since it requires multiple people.

perhaps you could queue up 4 other free accounts with ya for the same dungeon. Cant test right now but that should at least show if it works.

I'm very interested in this as well. I run 5 accounts to avoid exactly this queueing problem.

Being able to get 10-12s to get loot (and quests?) from Old Hillsbrad Hills, Magisters Terrace, Black Morass and Azjol-Nerub would be huge.
 
yeah thats actually huge. If my lvl11 war could get all that juisy bis l20 guys are rocking... + looks like there's a way to get into Scholo for a Lifesteal recipe.

Activate lorewalking (pretty new to me what this is) + chromie time to TBC, walk-In in to Magister's terrace and loot should be Ilvl 84?

nah, you can't just walk in there, but you can que and hope for a quick proc
Or as mentioned above, you can create 5ppl premade and insta-que

What level were you? Were you below level 10? Or was this just an erroneous message?

So what does it mean to "Rafd" your lvl 11 warrior into Mogu'shan Palace and Heroic ZG? I'm reading it involves recruit-a-friend

yeah, RAF summon
Warlock summon probably also works.
So your twink just has to have chromie time plus LW enabled, and it seems it can be summoned lots of places.
In mogushon, which normally would require level 20 (not talking about the time walking version) and gives error when trying to walk in, my 11 was able to get in and get approiate 11-level (ilvl 30) loot. So thats probably true of a lot of level 20 stuff
But heroics are probably just a no-go, per ZG not scaling. More could be tested but I bet its just how heroic flags are handled differently.
Can probably get summed into raids too, and its unlikely they scale, but idk.

also: leaving both my high level toon and my twink in there and coming back after it resets, they are both still there no problem, not kicked out or anything, and i just have to invite one back to group with the other (the ones in the heroic are kicked out after daily reset, but thats normal behavoir)

interesting new result, got in Pit of Saron (normal) on my 11, which would normally req 25, things arent scaled down, but unlike ZG hero they arent scaled up to 80, rather theyre right at 25, lootable, and loots down at 25 too

I expected this place to scale all the way down since it used to have a TW version, so I'm really not sure what the pattern is. Maybe there barely is a pattern and we're just up against spaghetti code.

edit: should empasize, boss is dead cause of my higher level toon, I could not take on 25s with my beefy 11

Old scholo available, on my 11, fully killable BUT you see the skull, so Mobs and loot are 15 so its not super quick but not bad, this is my weakest 11 fury and it was pretty quick. So that staff says I need to be 15,...

BUT

Lifestealing would indeed appear to be farmable, first room was an ez clear.
 
Okay I managed to get a queue for Arcatraz. Cannot zone in after queue pop even when I tested all 4 combinations of LW & Chromie time on/off.

So looks like some form of summon (RaF or warlock) is required for entry. Mobs and loot scales to minimum level of dungeon depending on if the dungeon is normal or heroic.

However one lvl 11 warrior in this thread had Mogu'shan Palace scale to his level (ilvl 30) using legacy loot? He's clearly not timewalking

Mogu'shan Palace minimum levels:
normal - 20
heroic - 35
timewalking - 10

So you enable chromie + LW and your lvl 11 can click the book and zone into old scholo? At least that's one thing that's working.

could be that because mogu'shan has a tw setting it is more flexible in its code
could be that mop dungeons becuz of remix code under the hood are generally more flexible
could be several other things, so idk

no real pattern emerging (heroic did one thing, a dungeon above and below 20 both did a different thing, and a dungeon at 20 did a different different thing), but my testing wasnt very thorough. im done for now though.

I didn't try clicking the item, but the summon worked. I'm guessing clicking the item doesn't, and might even put you into a disconnect loop, but someone feeling like testing should alert us.
