Lorewalking + Chromie Time = more extra dungeon goodness?!!

Mogu'shan Palace minimum levels:
normal - 20
heroic - 35

So you enable chromie + LW and your lvl 11 can click the book and zone into old scholo? At least that's one thing that's working.

Do we yet know if you're able to do dungeon quests? I would love to get the 2 socket boots from the Shadow Labs quest on a sub-20 if possible.

Quests don't scale with Chromie time nor Lorewalking. I have never gotten any Magister Terrace quests or any dungeon quests for 25+ instance like from Cata

Yeah I thought about this after I wrote it. You can get to Magister's Terrace in TBC TW but you don't get any of the quests until you're level 25+. So the quewsts have their own separately set minimum level beyond whatever the dungeon is. Or at least it defaults to the "normal minimum" for the dungeon. So I expect the Shadow Labs quests require 20+ because the dungeon is 20+.

One clarification/correction though: quests do scale in Chromie Time. If you're in CT you can do the quests and have the rewards scale all the way up to 70 (the XP is a lot less at 70 but the rewards are still set at that ilvl, 332 or so). If you're beyond that level, you can Party Sync with someone who is in CT and hand in rewards for level 70 ilvl rewards.

My point is that "quests don't scale with Chromie time" isn't very clear and may lead to confusion.

You are correct. Quests scale to a minimum level with Chromie Time, usually but not always tied to zone or dungeon its associated with.

That's why I created my spreadsheet to track those zones and dungeons. Usually quests won't go down further unless it falls into a different category like professions etc.
 
The main problem is that quests don't work during Lorewalking, neither in open world nor in dungeons I suspect. (Aside very specific ones designated for scenario)
So even if they'd scale you probably wouldn't be able to pick them. Also something weird happens with phasing, for example I noticed today that I can't que to an Expedition while Lorewalking, Flinn just isn't where he's supposed to be.

I could not find any way to re-create this with 80s.

Could you go into more specifics for both characters?

Was the high lvl friend still low enough to be in chromie time + LW as well? (69 or lower)

edit: tried several more things, like a 60 in CT+LW and still my lvl 10 is not eligible, also tried seeing if i had a toon with the Raid Finder queue in their actual LFG ui, thought it would be lvl 45 but I guess not.
So definitely would like to understand more.

High lvl is Party Leader but not in lore walking, 20 lvl is on lorewalking, the high lvl must que for raid finder, all legion raids are available.
today I will test the rest expansions.

okay so your low level was a 20, thats the only thing I can think, that maybe 20 works but 11 doesnt.
is your 20 in chromie time? this thread has been focused on chromie time and lorewalking both being on so thats what I was trying.
