As he sad rshamans are sick ( Alyax happens to be a sick one himself ) they don't die but don't do damage either discs do both but not as strong on the healing side and mistweaver monks played right are op!!

A rham with ele force does about the same damage as a disc without on average. A disc with ele force can be really powerful and bursty, but I feel they lack too much all together.

I too am looking to roll a healer and I'm wondering how Hpaladins are now as I played a 19 Hpaladin since as far back as I can remember

unfortunately hpallies are a little weak right now in comparison to all the other heals even tho hoj is still crazy good

IMHO it's something like this: Shaman > Disc > Hpala > Rdruid, with MW somewhere in between (Haven't seen any since wod launch)

Of course this depends on individual skill and setup/opponents.
