Linking f2p to p2p?

I'm confused, if I merge my f2p with a p2p account, it sounds like they merge into the same email address in terms of logging in... Do I have to pay monthly to have access to my f2p after linking?
Or am I just being panicky and stupid? Cheers.

I would not think you would. I know my trial account and my subbed account are under two different "accounts" per se( WoW1 being my trial and another being my subbed). They are both merged and I can log on to both at the same time. They should operate independley regardless of whether they are on the same battlenet account.

What Sidney said is right. When I log in to my Battle.net, it's with one email address. From there I see a pulldown menu that lists my (inactive) P2P account, and then the old login names of my two linked F2P accounts. I can click on one of those and it will launch the game. I can minimize the game, go back to Battle.net Launcher, click on a different WoW account, and it will launch it in another instance of the game. I can also log out of that battle.net account, log in to my other battle.net account (unlinked F2P), and have three different wow accounts running if I wanted to and I hated my computer and wanted to make it suffer.

I think the full account means the whole expansion on your p2p, do you have all of the expansion on p2p?

How old is your account? The online merge tool works for the old WOW account (before there was battle.net). So that could be an option.
If you can get a trial code from the old Battle Chest, you can actually add a second Starter Edition and upgrade that to a cheap ($5) code. But I'm guessing that's not quite what you want.
No way! Having a pure F2P is a source of pride to many.

It's possible to link, i have 2 F2P accounts linked to my P2P account with the help of GM's.
On first one it worked at first conversation with the GM, with the second one i needed to speak with 4 GM's and the 4th solved my "problem". The first 3 of them were bullshitting me about having to upgrade before they can merge an so on.

I really don't see what the big deal is in having a "pure" trial is. The only one that really looks at those things and cares are you, the owner of the account. Besides, there are practically no truly pure trials anyway. If you have once grouped or used any your trial in way, fashion or form that it was not intended to be used, the account is not "pure".
