Lightblade bracers stole my life.

There is always some grind to being a twink. It comes with it.
Thank your lucky stars you don't have to wait on a spawn timer! You can farm for it at your leisure.

Sweetsidney

Deadman's was hardly the worst grind, every decent 29 twink had one. This was before the instance lock out as well, you could loot Doan and reset the instance in around 1-2 minutes, and run it as many times as you wanted.
Pre instance lock outs was also pre exp off and pre trading of dungeon loot, meaning you had to do the suicide before boss kill res to loot you also had to travel to the dungeons.

Yeah soooo much less painful than standing in org/sw and hard queing for SH.

And no not every decent tink had one, I ran a guy more than 60 times once before he gave up, a guy who had NAX shoulder enchants on multiple items GAVE UP on deadmans with free runs back in the day.

That's right Franchi. They have no idea. The planning of the path of twinkdom... Waiting for spawns... Having to run to the battlemaster, even the actual BG instance itself. Server crashes.
All these people that wish for the days of yore, they have no idea. The game has improved so much.

A lot of people in the bracket like myself probably played during those time periods and leveled their twinks in Wrath and Cata. To be honest I think the old style of twinking before XP could be turned off was much more satisfying and acomplishing, because of the limitations. Not to say by any means that grinding was fun though.

The grinding wasn't fun, but finally making a BIS tink with all the right quest gear and every dungeon drop, the first time anyone pulled it off they pretty much jizzed in their pants, it was soooooooo satisfying.

These kids crying about LBB, you used to START tinking at 27, and you explored all the areas you needed to quest in BEFORE hitting 27, you hit 27 by killing a mob you then did a series of quests getting all the mob kills while dead and ended up just a few bubbles of EXP from 30.

These children today have not a clue.

I always tried to give myself a buffer of at least 3 bubbles after one of my guildies accidentally leveled by taking candy from the bowl in Hallow's End.

I'd hate to be THAT person but no, its not ironic
Irony: the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning

Sorry, had to do it

He was miss using Ironic ironically.

BC/Wrath was the newschool of twinks, man. In the really old days, there was no generally-accepted BiS. There was no forum for twinks to discuss gear strategies, so some twinks formed guilds and made their own forums. Sometimes, if you were on for 3-4 hours, you could get a battleground.

Put crusader on a Corpsemaker or Zealot Blade, get the PvP blues and whatever enchants you could afford, and you were pretty much a golden god, and ready to duel in Durotar.

I used to be wand spec on my Sergeant priest, and it was a shitload of DPS.
