Leveling Twinks- A Contradiction?

Hi Everyone,



I used to be involved on the twink scene in the 29 bracket, I haven't touched my twinks in about a year, but I'm always looking to do things with twinking as it was my favorite part about this game for the longest time.



I'm interested in creating a twink that slowly levels through the brackets with superior gear and enchants, slowly upgrading as they go. Very different from the traditional twink, and in opposition to everything a traditional twink has stood for in the past. However, I don't think I need to go into detail as to what the twink scene looks like right now and how this would be a fun possibility...



I'm really only interested in if it's been done much before, how popular it is, the viability of it, and how one would successfully set themselves up.



So my questions:

Has it been done before, and if so, is it popular?



How viable is it? (Would XP gains in battlegrounds push me out of the brackets too quickly?)



How do you set it up? (Which class would offer most overall solo success? At which level do I start each bracket?)



What is your personal opinion on the matter?



I posted this in the 'Alternate Twinking' forums because there's no 'General Twink' discussion and this seemed to be the best fit. However, this doesn't get the best activity, so I posted in the 10-19 level bracket because that's where I would start.

I'm not sure how useful my remarks will be, I'm coming at this from a completely different direction...



I've leveled two "pacifist" characters (see Pacifist Undead Priest/Gnome Rogue/NightElf Druid) who only did quests that didn't require killing. This is a very slooow way to level, and periodically each of my characters would run out of quests, except for the daily battleground quests (and this was back when you'd only get XP for winning the daily BG).



Since I had to win BG dailies to level, and I would often be near the bottom of the bracket, and since my rogue didn't even fight, I would twink myself as much as I could to help my side. My rogue ran the WSG flag and ninja'd flags in AB, AV, etc. My priest was no problem in BGs of course. So in a way, I was leveling as a twink.



I think it's a very viable way to level. You can end up doing odd things like skilling up jewelcrafting just to have some stone statues for healing, or going into dangerous areas to increase your mining or herbalism.



The new XP gains in BGs do tend to push you through pretty fast, though I think they toned it down a bit.
 
Stabbed, please just stop posting. Every time you do, I think I lose a few brain cells.
 
No trust me, you can't back pedal out of this one. If you want, I can find the other posts that make you out to have a mild case of downs syndrome. It's not a surprise that Chubs gkicked you once before. Had it been me, you wouldn't have been invited again.

Right that's hilarious. What I find even funnier was the fact that the FIRST day I talked to Chubs, he was talking about Gkicking you and never associating with you again because of how stupid you cam off.
