Can anyone explain private servers to me?? Like i understand how to do the whole realmlist thing, but what if i want to play live server wow again... Is it too hard of a process?

You need to download a new wow client. From a torrent site, (as TBP) Then change the new clients realmlist to the servers. You need a 3.3.5a client.

It says the patch a few posts up & it has about 20 active I think.

Also any idea on how long it would take to down patch to 3.3.5? And how long it would take to approximately re-patch back to the current patch? I'm considering trying the server out.

You download a client that takes a few hours, I may suggest Arena-Tournament | Where the Challenge Begins and you have that one in addition to MoP. I have a 1.12.1 client, a 3.3.5a client and a 5.1.0 client, and I play them all. Just make sure not to put them in the same folder & don't call the folders the same.
