Level 60 Account

Hey,

Just want to find out how easy it is to do. I have the full WoW games up to Wotlk, but would like to create a Vanilla account and move a character accross to it. Is this possible?

Can I just go and create a new account, specifying the original wow only and using that user name to log on with? Or do I have to install the original wow game again and have 2 copies of wow on my PC?

I ask because I started a new trial account then uprgaded to full version. I was a little confused however when logging in with it when I saw Northrend on the map. I expected not to be able to see considering it was a Vanilla only account (Albeit playing on the Wotlk client)

ANything I should know? Any info would be great.

Thanks

You can't transfer a character from a WotLK account, to a Vanilla account.

You'll need to create a new character.

You use battle.net to identify the different accounts too ;)

Also you do not need another client. Vanilla accounts simply don't allow you to zone into northrend / outlands, and don't do a whole lot more than that since it blocks you from almost everything that way, as well as limiting you to 1 xp away from 61.

Ok cool, thanks for the info. I'll just level up a new toon on the 60 account

I'm currently doing that using RAF, should be worth a couple of months of ownage at least ;)

You can, however, downgrade your account to classic, transfer him off, then re-upgrade the account.

It takes a LOT of trys to do this and unless it's a T3 char usually not worth it as you can gear a 60 to full BiS within a month.

I've tried downgrading an account for months .... a variety of responses from Blizz, all with the same outcome :(

Wow, i tried ask this downgrading thing from blizz,

ANSWER:

Greetings,

Thank you for your email regarding the downgrade of your World of

Warcraft license to its previous state. Before removing the expansion

from your license, we wish to inform you of the consequences of this

action.

Removal of the Burning Crusade expansion:

- Any character that you have levelled beyond level 60 will be locked

and inaccessible

- Any characters that you have created from either of the Burning

Crusade races (Draenei or Blood Elf) will be inaccessible

- The Burning Crusade content will no longer be accessible to you

Removal of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion:

- Any character that you have levelled beyond level 70 will be locked

and inaccessible

- Any Death Knight Characters you created will no longer be accessible.

- The Wrath of the Lich King content will no longer be accessible to you

Those restrictions will of course be lifted if you choose to re-upgrade

this license again, which you can do at any time.

If you still wish to proceed with the downgrade, please send a

confirmation of this mentioning the World of Warcraft version you would

like your account to be downgraded to along with the following for

account verification:

- Your Battle.net account name (Please DO NOT send us your password)

- Your full real name

- Your full address including postal or zip code

- Your Battle.net secret question and answer

- The World of Warcraft license name

Upon receipt of your confirmation we will process the World of Warcraft

license downgrade as soon as possible. Please note that your expansion

authentication key will no longer be valid following this process.
