its impossible to know until the actual pre-patch because there are no account restrictions on the PTR. I think its safe to operate under the assumption that F2P will be 10. But, obviously, theres a possibility it wont be.

Further update on Garrisons. PTR it's a bit buggy, but Vets should be able to get it set up and running. I won't be able to test if I can get it up to lvl 3, but after pre-patch, you will likely need a months sub and some coin to get it upgraded. You can do work orders, pick herbs and ore (mine bugged, but you can die and enter in after rez). But shouldn't be bugged come pre-patch. You can DE mats at the Enchanters hut, or once upgraded produce some ring / neck chants. Also, you get some fancy items for your time in Draenor like the rocket below:

So far I have 5 followers, and 1 upgraded to purple.
I wish I had the gold to upgrade some of the huts. Unfortunately all my gold is in the GV, so I don't have access while unsub'd. I want to try and upgrade some of the huts.
Could be handy having a decked out Garrison(s) if your keen.
 
Icehawk, did you try accessing your GV with your 10 on PTR (or higher levels for their gold stock)? There's no account restrictions on PTR (unlike retail), and if you're short on gold, you can transfer gold from one character to another, and re-copy the character that has the gold to get more gold.

On a separate note, on PTR I tried one or two random dungeon BFA queues, and got a few "WTF??" reactions from a few level 50s after seeing how quickly bosses melted in those BFA dungeons.

Of course, that's brought to you by not-scaled-enough-gears for level 10.

Something I noticed is that a majority of specs gain Mastery AT level 10. This means you might have a new stat to stack dependent on class (for example, Fire Mage mastery)

And since you are able to quest in 90% of content as a level 10, you can grind for pretty much whatever secondary stats you want.

TBC socket gear is best for every slot available. Mastery is mainly gonna be available through things like ring enchants.
 
looking at the level ranges to see progression/scaling for all levels.

classic : desolace, southern barrens, hinterlands, arathi highlands and both stranglethorns are now 10-30. interesting that the rest of the zones are just 15-30, not spread out like before. and they scale up to 30, even though 25 is the new 60.

tbc : spread out from 10-30 to 25-30

wotlk : spread out from 10-30 to 25-30

cata : all 30-35 including tol barad

mop : leveling zones spread out from 10-35 to 30-35. isle of thunder flat 35 and timeless isle 30-35, not sure if its an oversight.

wod : leveling zones spread out from 10-40 to 35-40. tanaan jungle flat 40. ashran doesnt state level requirement

legion : all leveling zones 10-45. suramar, broken shore, argus flat 45

bfa : leveling zones spread out from 10-50 to 35-50. mechagon and nazjatar flat 50

yes that is correct but I believe the question hasn't been put out there as much as it should be or the possibility hasn't been thought about enough yet

if more of us think about it and perhaps post on official forums or message blizzard directly, it could increase the chance

10 looks boring but 20 can be very good, sl 20s already look a lot better than bfa 20s

Some classes at 10 look decent, some awesome, and many look shafted. Definitely seems at the current point in the ptr like certain classes will be the meta if the cap is 10(cough cough hunter cough cough).

Wuuuut I missed that the first time around, looking at the OP's maps! That just gave F2Ps BiS wrists for leather and mail (I don't think socket wrists exist for F2Ps). Both factions get their version.

Be forewarned, that is not a short quest chain for people who are thinking of rerolling until they get a rare or epic proc.
