Level 1 Twink Class

Aelobin

DK Twink (80 / 85 / 101)
Hey,

I'm just wondering how fun and how viable each of these classes would be to play at level 1. So if you could help me with my decision I'd be grateful :p

Night Elf Rogue:

  • Shadowmeld
  • High dodge/crit with agility

Orc Warlock:

  • Get to have a pet

Draenei Shaman:

  • Increased hit chance for pve
  • Self heal (GotN)
  • Able to heal self and dps

The main things I was wanting to know are:

  • Are caster dps really viable? (Hit chance, spells resisting, haste/crit/mana). And if so, even in pvp?
  • Do you end up doing a lot more pve than you do pvp?
  • And, does the Chance on Hit on Battleworn Thrash Blade increase PPM?

Thanks,

Fea

You've picked the right class for right race. Just decide yourself imo. You'll probably end up making more of em later anyways.

PvE or PvP depends on what you like, what kind of/how many players you can play with etc

For myself I picked mage and I really love it :D But its more likely because I love to kite :) sooo its hard to play mage :p You die pretty fast if you get caught

But yeah :D GL on picking :)

The shaman is starting to look pretty tempting just because of the amount of heals possible, and therefore the ability to solo stuff in PvE.

I was gonna go for warlock, but I can't see them surviving much apart from lifeblood.

And rogue... well the ability to stack pretty much 1 stat and it all scale well is just as tempting. But i can't see much "world pvp" as low levels in starting zones don't get pvp flagged even on a pvp server.

Take your weapons off then sit around razor hill, blood hoof, falcon wing square and Brill then just wait, they will see you think your some level 1 scrub wearing stupid clothes then you put your weapons on and raep.

It's not hard to get fights in the starter places. I've had people grouping to kill me, pretty amusing, it's like you're that elite they're trying to zerg down.

Most of them will probably attack.

You can do /duel and /forfeit right when it starts, they'll probably spam some abilities at that time.

Do /afk etc.

But as I said, most of them should attack.

1. Parry is like lvl 12 or 8.

2. Defense does not scale that good.

3. 12 dodge on cloak is 2% dodge, go 3 agi.

4. I know you can get at least 55% dodge with arogue at lvl 1 UB

the new dual weilding at lvl 1 for rogues is great. any of the classes are fun and unique in their own way. the caster classes seem to get slammed tho. just my .02 :)

Me and Bog have found are very very effective way to take rogues and other classes down with a mage :) Its a secret how though :p

hhmm now i want to know >.<

i dont see how its possible with a caster

maybe haste? share secrets?!
