U.S. cities literally prioritize building new stadiums and keeping local teams local over funding schools and maintaining roads/bridges or addressing sustainable living practices. Even though pro sports are usually focused on for money makers, I could argue how sports bring more good than bad. But it seems you're just venting so logical arguments wont really matter.
