Less XP needed in TBC from lvl 20 to 60. Current twinks pushed to 99% of their level?

So, does anyone remember if twinks got pushed to 99% of the level once TBC came out back then? Could fuck a lot of people up who didnt expect that.

And I also remember that there was a time period where you would get XP in BGs, but couldnt turn it off yet. Anyone else who remembers that?

OK... I thought cata but I searched quick and it looks like there was a 15% reduction in patch 2.3?

Pretty sure that was in WotLK, and if cata allowed you to lock XP then there could have been a window in there, yes.

The xp lock function came with Wotlk (not necessary right from the start), pretty sure of that. And I'm leaning more towards some point in TBC where you get XP for BGs... but can't be 100% sure.

And concerning the lesser XP needed for leveling: I googled and they added it in patch 2.3 ("The amount of experience needed to gain a level has been decreased between levels 20 and 60.). I guess everyone should get as much stuff done as possible so you dont have to get more XP (Revelosh farm for 39s for example) to eb on the safe side.

(although killing NPCs in AV did give kill experience, I remember some 60 players could not pass midfield for fear of XP)

If I recall correctly, if you were 80% of the way to level 30, you would remain at that point after the leveling change (they didn’t push you up the leveling bar and/or level characters).
