EU+US Legion Gear GF'd Bittersweet??

I'm happy to have collected at least 2 TF legion gear for each my warrior, hunter, and monk twinks. I was thinking about making a paladin or rogue twink, but then realized that the TF legion gear is in fact going to be grandfathered. With that being said, will post-legion twinks forever be inferior to their GF'd peers?? I lost an account with three other twinks I had since vanilla which had countless GF'd items (and transmogs) that seem to still be BiS or at least close to it even till this day. This leaves me feeling a little uninspired to keep twinking avidly. What are your thoughts?

Unless players can bug blizz to keep invasions as a monthly event in legion, yeah other twinks will be inferier

I would imagine the invasion events would go the way of the do-do soon after August 30.

this is exactly how twinking has been always. you miss out on something? too bad, other people get it. this is true for every piece of gf'd gear that has ever existed ever. absolutely nothing different here.

Considering looms are still mostly BiS for their slots (some legions gear has haste crit from looms), and how little of a boost you get everything in ipvp, and how in pve a slightly geared twink is nuts OP, having gf'd gear will be the same as it always has.

No piece of heirloom gear is BiS anymore. And who's to say that this ilvl change will stay forever, if Blizz at some point in the future reimplements the importance of stats on your items in BG's, WF'd items from invasions will become super OP
