Legion enchantments for PvP

The only contribution your gear will make to your overall power is through a small modifier based on your average item level. For every point that your average item level increases, your pre-determined PvP stats will increase by 0.1%. That means a 25 item level difference between two players only results in a 2.5% difference in stats, compared to the 25% difference it makes today. There’s still a little incentive to improve your gear – a concept we think is important for World of Warcraft – but the benefits are much less

Twinking has always been about having best in slot gear. Not so much skill, but how your toon is gear. As of right now there is no Bis so much it's about play style how you hear your toon. With legion having a high item level gear goes back to twinking days of having BIS gear.

The example you use is 25 item level difference between 2 players only results in a 2.5% difference in stats. 5k ferocious bite with 2.5% unless my math is wrong is dishing out 250 damage resulting in a 5,250 ferocious bite. Meaning, IMO grinding for gear is back. Play style is out and gearing BIS is back in Legion.

Only time & PTR will tell.

It's 5125

Also, a shitty geared rogue may have a ilevel of 40, while a BiS geared rogue may have an ilevel 0f 45 maybe 50 tops. You won't be seeing a huge 25 ilevel difference, probably more between 5 or 10 ilevel difference between a BiS rogue and a rogue made a few hours ago. Currently, enchants and gear dictate pretty much how well you do in a bg, but when the difference between average gear and BiS gear will be 1 or 2%, play style will definitely the dominant factor in bgs.

What this will essentially do is close the gap of f2p and 29 even further.

It's also helps close the gap on lvl 10s and 19s also. Since there is alotnof dedicated 10s out there. I wish we could edit on here. Lol

2.5% on 5k bite is 5,125. Twinking is about getting any edge/damage or healing multiplier you can from your gear.

You should know by now HB, that some of these people are like door to door salesmen. If you open the door for them they will stick their foot in the door before you get the chance to close it. Many of them have not learned manners yet. They do not know it is not polite to correct people's small error. Or they simply choose not to exercise that knowledge.

Well, assuming the opponent has any form of damage reduction (Be it armor, ilvl bonus) A 2,5% increase on 5000 wouldn't mean 5125 dmg. Vs like 5% reduction you would go from 5k to 5118.75, vs 20% reduction (assuming your bite is 5k on that) it would be 5100. The increase of dmg wouldn't matter as much as it's calculated before mitigation. We are yet to see how much damage reduction we'll enjoy in legion.
