Legacy loot in Legion raids and dungeons as of next reset

Since 110s and 111s are (I suspect mostly) gearing from Mythic ABT via either leading or joining transmog runs with 120s, this should mean a lot more drops in the raid.

This still doesn't mean you get increased dmg in those raids/instances - I expect that will come with next expansion's equivalent of level 121+. I'm also not 100% sure if this is better or not if you're targeting specific items since you'll also get cloth/mail/plate drops now as a leather char.

What does everyone think? Yay or nay?

I think the problem with trading relics is that you can only trade an item you got if you already have (in your inventory or bank) an equivalent item of same or higher ilvl. So since most 120s don't keep their relics, they can't trade even if they would be willing to.

I always run with 2 accounts, 2 druids, one my twink and the other a 120, and I've had to stockpile high titanforged relics on the 120, otherwise he can't trade to my 111. Very annoying, but it is what it is.

edit: "stockpile" is the wrong word. I mean I keep one of each type of relic in my 120's bank, as high an ilvl as he's gotten, so in the event that he gets another, he could then trade to my 111.
 
You won’t need to match your carrier with your needed relic types at least for the extra loot chances at least.

But yeah I guess that highest ilvl received before could be still be thing for sure. Works that way on my 20. First fang belt looted on 20 is untradable, even carried in legacy loot

You might want to be carried by someone who can equip the Least amount of relic types? Or someone who cannot use the relic types you’re after. Id assume a non useable relic would be tradable regardless of whether they have looted that type before? Won’t know for sure till reset but could be a good method to start fast on the carrier side of gearing a 110-119

I run BRF (WoD raid) for the mount weekly on a few chars, and definitely get some socketed/warforged drops here and there. That's legacy, so I suppose the answer is yes.

Legacy loot should be active on EU if servers go up after maintenance but before your reset. Giving some extra time to get some Legacy loots in before the weekly reset. Happened for us today.
 
It's more annoying than non-legacy loot. The only advantage is that you get 5 drops per boss per raid regardless of raid size, so if you can 5-man ABT mythic reliably and quickly - great. If you're joining or leading 20-man pugs it's a PITA since now just about everyone who does get loot has to trade it/raidroll it.

Yeah, I can easily fill up tmog from non-mythic raids solo on a 120 (mythics still take too long to solo imo) but for gearing purposes I feel we're worse off.

Going forward I can see myself just making a 5-6-man (my twink on /follow, my 120 druid, and 4 others, preferably a cloth, a mail and a plate) and just get more as we near Aggramar to make sure he goes down reliably. Ugh.
 
I'm honestly surprised to see there are so many people still doing weekly Antorus runs so religiously. Seems to me at this stage of the expansion everyone has either gotten a little stale of their 110/111s, or all the hardcores have got everything they need by now :S
I sure know I can't face running it weekly for some 1% chance of a 1% upgrade

I pvp with my 111 daily - whenever there's a Legion invasion, or a faction Assault, I'm there. So yeah, while I know the chance to get an upgrade is miniscule (I basically need socketed titanforges, and >250 ilvl relics), it makes sense for like 40 mins a week to run it once. Plus, I still need the mount and legendary trinket from Argus so there's that.
 
Ahh, mount and trinket, say no more :D
 
Really good plus side to this, say a dh gets a life relic and say your a restro druid and need a better life relic, that dh if they do trade, can give it to you since its a relic they can't use. So this definatly helps with relics department

Are you EU My friend? As I have a 100 twink and I’m after the earth ripple mythic and also I have the quest nearly complete for skip to black hand

EU Horde, yes. I have the skip on 2 chars and slowly working on a 3rd. Whisper me ingame on tavore-runetotem over the weekend and you can come along if you like.
