I had something happen to me in WSG last night that I cannot explain. So I've been poking around and I see reference to 'lag macros' in another thread. So I Google it, what else, right?
I think I understand how this works, my question is it uses.
For example, if I (a hunter) saw a rogue in range by the Horde zerker hut and I 'saw' a pally midfield by the big rock and turned to conc the rogue and get Hammered by the pally, is that an example of 'lag macroing'? Like the pally started the macros back by the rock so that's why I saw him/her waaaay out of range, when his/her client was actually moving the toon right along side the rogue? Is that an example of how this might be used?
Can't you get banned for 'lag macroing'? And why would a player who is lauded by some as the best in his/her class need to do something like this?
