Just tell me when Druids are sheepable....

Looking for someone to test this out I haven't had the time to attempt the ptr dl. I would also like to know if druids have a friendly dispel at higher levels, which would suggest that they will be sheepable later. Maybe the dispel mechanics haven't been implemented at higher levels yet.

just keep hoping mate, and they might implement it. Still, with all your new spells you're getting in cata you cant complain about druids being unsheepable quite so much... you can still use it as an interrupt and.

Cat Form - Spells - Sigrie implies that it has not yet been implemented btw.

why would having a dispel (which they will if they're resto, iirc) imply that they would be sheepable.

if you knew anything about the history of druids we needed our shifting powers to break stuff like sheep, yeesh.

World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> Cataclysm Class Preview: Druid

Druids will lose Abolish Poison with the dispel mechanics change, but Restoration druids will gain Dispel Magic (on friendly targets) as a talent. All druids can still remove poisons with Cure Poison and remove curses with Remove Curse.

Can't have a sheep immune class able to dispel sheeps, that creates a clear counter class. Here is a link to the blue post I hope they implement this soon

•We also recognize the challenge for magic-based controllers in PvP, say mages, to handle teams with druid healers and we might have to reconsider the druid ability to avoid Polymorph. We think it’s important for PvE reasons for all healers to be able to dispel magic however.

"Might" being the operative word. They have yet to deliver on this, and its getting fairly late in the beta...

i can assure you they will implement something if resto druids can dispel sheeps but are also sheep immune especially with rated BG's coming.

This is certain. Every GM and Dev in interviews regarding this, have stated this exact thing. You cannot have competitive PvP where a class can dispel sheeps AND be immuen to sheep at the same time. It would completely dominate the entire PvP scene of healing (Much like they have before/for a while.)

the question in will they make resto druids the only druid class to not be immune to sheep? or will they make all druid start out as sheepable with feral and balance able to talent into it later?

That's the retarded shit about this game, it's supposed to be an RPG but the classes and races Make less and less sense each expansion.

thanks for the bump, I really think something will be implemented along these lines it's only a matter of time.... Blizz cares about 80 pvp and if you have a sheep immune druid that dispels sheep that aspect will surely get nerfed.

Hey veil, dont worry, hunters can auto shot while moving now!

lmfao

The details confirmed on the PTR forum:

They're immune in forms but can not break it by shifting if you get them in caster. With loss of treeform this fixes the problem at higher levels where they are able to dispel sheeps.

the more i hear about cata, the happier i am that i continued playing my rogue.

it's been a rough year or two, but we're back baby.

Frost mages should have no problem with rogues. I recommend all rogues to go gnome in cata unless you want to be snared all day.

I didn't know any other race was viable...

Plain and simple Druids can be Polymorphed in caster form but are protected while in Cat, Bear and Travel form. Catch a Druid off guard with a silence to Polymorph and win because they can't shift out, or is this too hard?

inb4 this becomes a QQ thread come Cata lol

i think we'll still be better off against mages than we are now.

cup half full dude.

Grabco, sorry to burst the bubble mate :(.

Rogues crit (90% chance) 1.2 dmg on initial attack against a mage. A mage won't even survive unless he is lucky to have delay on his side (like on PTR atm, 600+ ms).

Also, I'd recommend going Night elf, and not gnome. Vanish re-ambush 1.2k anyone? :)

Also, only 20 seconds cooldown on Shadow step. I realise this is enough time for a mage to murk off a rogue, but I've seen a rogue kill a holy priest in 3 seconds. I don't think you guys grasp the alarming heights of a rogues OPness...

Ah well.. lesson to be learned :p
