Just Stack Stamina and other thoughts

So for 19s at least, I can't see anything other than crit being the go to for "stacking". The exception sometimes being certain healers/FC/ a couple dps specs. This does not mean just the enchants available on pieces, but the secondary stats themselves.

Yeah, I've been trying out different builds and testing them on Target Dummies with Recount, and they're so close, DPS-wise, that it's a total wash. Even stacking main stat vs Versatility doesn't seem to push the numbers out of the margin of error range.

For DPS, Satyr and Elemental Force dwarf every other effect by such a huge amount that stat priorities become irrelevant.

I'm starting to get really skeptical of folks implying that hitting haste / vers break points matters. At this level I can't see how it's anything other than psychological—or such a tiny numerical advantage that it's effectively insignificant.

Even an extra half dozen points of main stat would only be noticeable on very long fights. I'm talking about combat times that are currently unavailable to non-raiding twinks.

lord knows why everyone is saying stack stamina

if u dont already know what gear to use... how... fk sake try different sets, let me assure u overly stacking stamina is terrible unless ur a druid fc post 6 stacks

@jackblood And thus why I believe crit to be the superior stat for stacking on most classes.

If everything is relatively the same in the mid-long lasting fights, then increasing your burst potential early becomes exceptionally more important. At the very least you cause a healer to be pressured to start healing instead of being offensive.

At best you're getting a lot of blanket damage via regular crits through dots and direct damage that can cause someone to die in 2-3 GCD of focus with moderate luck and a few crit based twinks.

I'm really skeptical of this advice.

Like I said up above:

I've been trying out different builds and testing them on Target Dummies with Recount, and the numbers are so close, DPS-wise, that it's a total wash. For example, stacking main stat vs Versatility, or a careful balance of all stats, or just haste, etc., doesn't seem to push your output out of the margin of error range of the combat times available to us.

Even an extra half dozen points of main stat would only be noticeable on very, very long fights—combat times that are currently unavailable to non-raiding twinks.

Yeah the health is nice, but with all the haste I have procs and dots damage are insane

Not trying to call you out or anything, but can you justify this statement somehow? How can I be sure it's not just a placebo effect? Do you have any hard numbers to back it up?

I have not dabbled much with stats, and currently I have tried maximum agility as outlaw(got about 225 agility) and haste stacked assassination. Yeah the health is nice, but with all the haste I have procs and dots damage are insane, I've even 3v1'd a few times with this build:

So I do think secondary stats still matter.

Now take off Ele force and do your testing

As a healer, I usually try to gear for survivability in PvP.
I think my resto shaman is a little over 2600 health with close to 15% versatility, 13% haste and 215 spellpower. I haven’t had a chance to work on my Holy Paladin yet. It may even be better since it is better geared.

/cheers
