Was this deleted in wotlk or it was a character from wotlk, and if you don't mind, could you share how you went about this? I have an old gf'd paladin 19 that I deleted back in wotlk/cata that I would love to restore back but I've had no luck.

Grandfathered for sure. Bracers are functional, not sure how the gloves will work since you technically cant equip them?
Busted bracket though (rip) so i just... wouldnt touch him and see if those gloves change in the next xpac/stat squish/whatever

Thanks. It was an account that got hacked around the end of WOTLK and I lost access to. Characters were never deleted; the process just took me a while to get around to because the account moved around quite a bit.
Wonder if I could get a GM to help with this.... Seems super super doubtful, but the gloves were once level 37.... I didn't even realize- got caught up in nostalgia joy and assumed red was durability. Thanks for the advice.
@Fat Al Can you clarify this? Dartol's rod was my favorite item ever, would be super thrilled if it was still obtainable.

Gms have been known to restore gear to a lower level. Sometimes quite carelessly.
I'd approach it like "hey, look. My gear was OBVIOUSLY once usable but now its not. I was wondering if you could revert it to its original reg lvl 37 form because that enchant is grandfathered and I really like and want to play this toon"

I think the original item is GFd; there are copies of it in some form though, like the toy from Timbermaw rep.

Re the gloves, they won't be usable - you could speak to a GM, but they would have to be an absolute numpty to lower the level.
I had the Robes from RFD on my warlock and priest, and then i think Cata changed the req level on a heap of items and they got changed to level 40 req, i spoke to a GM and no dice.. but have them in my bank hoping one day to use them again

Don't try to change the level of the glove, that will end up with no enchant, just safe the gloves on the bank
