Just an informative post about what happens when you merge accounts.

I remembered I had an old F2P account and wanted to merge it with my current one because I would get my Of the Alliance/Of the Horde title, seeing as I have 99,294 Honorable kills on my main account and around 3,000~ on my old one.

Took about a week for the transfer (due to issues on my end, forgetting secret Q&A). To get straight to the point, any achievement that hasn't been fully completed yet aren't taken into account after the merge, However every achievement that you've previously gotten as well as mounts are shared after the merge. So, when merging accounts, I wasn't able to get my titles. But oh well.

Used the search function before creating this and even attempting the merge altogether and found nothing which is why I'm sharing this now.

Did you lose your initial progress on the 100k HK achievement? Did logging into each character add anything to it?

Yes, I asked a GM, he was really friendly and told me he just can't do it, because those are lost in the process, I keep character-earned achievements, but the account-wide ones are gone. Keep that in mind when you merge your accounts.

Why did it remove your account wide achievements when you merged..? Sounds like you got bent over honestly. Are you sure you're not talking about unlinking them? I've heard of that happening. But not when you merge. At least, it didnt happen to me.

I had 1 Trial account with the WoW-EU and an unwanted WoW-US part. Then I bought the game, made a NEW account and upgraded it. Then I wanted to get them linked, so they deleted the WoW-US part of the Trial and merged the Trial onto the P2P.

Progress wasn't lost, I just got it today actually.

Logging into characters just didn't add anything to it.

You can share completed achievements across both accounts, just not uncompleted achievements. The account with the most completion on any given achievement overrides the progress of the least completed achievement.

If you had 1,000 HK Achievement on one account, and 10,000 HK Achievement on the other account, when you merge the two accounts you'll still only have 10,000 HK Achievement. The tally won't go up to 11,000 HK's.

I'll simplify my initial experience.

>I had an account with 99,294 HK's.
>>Merged an account into that account with 3,000 HK's on it.
>>>Logged into all of my characters once merged.
>>>>Still only had 99,294 HK's
>>>>>Had to continue grinding out the rest manually to get my 100,000 HK Achievement.

Im not sure it works like that... for some reason all my kills count across all characters, regardless of getting achievements or not. As soon as i logged into 2 of my characters i got the 50k achievement, and then i logged into all of them and ended up with 73k. Same thing for my mounts, i had well over 50 across all my characters but after i finished logging into them i got the 50 mount achievement. Unless 100k is a "special" achievement? Or exempt maybe. Interesting

I'm just sharing my experience in an effort to help the community I enjoy being a part of. I have no reason to provide falsities as there is nothing to gain from it and I'd lack the compassion for it in general. With all due respect please engage in misinformation in your own topics, that's not what this topic was intended for.

Thats a pretty way of saying i was calling you a liar. I wasnt. I was telling you how my situation worked out. I can take screen shots if you would like to see how my kills are racked up. So my question is, if all my kills count toward the 50k achievement, why do they not count toward the 100k achievement? It is possible that mile marker IS exempt for obvious reasons. And no where at all in this topic have i posted anything false, or misleading. I've tried to do quite the opposite. Thanks for your time, and im sorry that you felt offended.
