It's my first post in here, and I need help with farming! (F2P)

Hey, guys!

Hope you're all doing well!

As I've stated in the title, it's my first time posting here, and I don't really know how to tag items/links or anything, I'm not really a newbie in WoW, but I'm not a master also. So, if you guys don't know which items I'm talking about, I'll leave a few pics to help.

I'm a F2P(currently veteran) player, and I'm trying to farm a few Classic Plate armor sets, I mean, a mix of armor sets.

I'm looking mostly for the Hyperion Set. I don't think I own any of the parts yet, but my goal is towards the leggings, boots and gloves. And I'm having such a hard time finding rares that drop the set pieces, and I would like to know if you guys know a "fast" method.

The other set that I'm currently aiming towards is the Bloodforged one, (2nd picture, I think) and I'm just looking for the breastplate, I have the belt already and I also have the perfect shoulders to mix with it.

I know that it's possible to farm these sets being F2P, I've farmed the Revenant Set before (the purple one), even before getting my first subscription, so I know that it might be doable.
There are plenty of rares in the world dropping the Emerald, Templar, Gothic and Revenant sets, but finding any of the Hyperion Set pieces has been pretty difficult so far. I'll reach lvl 20 on my new character and I'll activate War Mode to reduce the competition, but I would love to know if you guys have any tips, tricks or methods to list the rares that you need, maybe an addon or something like that... Any help will be greatly appreciated!

And thank you guys for the attention!

I've gotten most of these items by questing/rares/running dungeons and generally you farm those sets as a side bonus to something like dungeon farming or doing quest achievements.

Out of all those sources I think dungeon farming is the most efficient since you can get a lot of greens though now that we have flying killing rares isn't that bad (I believe the loot table is a bit more favorable for dungeons but not 100% sure). It also has the benefit of allowing to get some neat trasmogs from bosses. It can be fairly boring but unlike, say, a WoD WF grind from DF you can switch around a lot of instances and if you really don't want to do instances you can still go around killing rares to mix it up.

And as a side note, it's great to see people going for these old sets, you can make a lot of cool transmogs, especially for RP.

Hey, Croye!

Thank you for the reply and the tip, maybe I'll start farming dungeons too. And I have another question, for these sets in specific, which dungeons would you recommend? Because I know that something like Dead Mines won't drop it.

And yep, I love the looks of the older items, the vibrant colors, the bold cleavages, pants and stuff, you know? And I have plans for a pretty cool mog (in my opinion), and I'll post it here when I finish it!

Would love seeing those mogs, looking forward to it ^^

From (an admitedly faulty) memory I've seen pieces drop from Dire Maul, Zul'Farrak and BRD but I believe this set drops from mid to high level dungeons/zones so I don't see why other dungeons wouldn't drop it.
I'd think instances like RFD, Maraudon, Sunken Temple Scholomance, Stratholme and Blackrock Spire could do the trick as well.

Edit : I checked on Wowhead to make sure I wasn't giving you wrong info and apparently the Bloodforged set drops from Dire Maul, Zul'Farrak and RFD while the Revenant set drops from BRD/Stratholme.
So it seems only some instances will drop the set you want. I somewhat doubt this information (never really payed attenton to this detail though haha) but you'll quickly see if that's true while farming.

Good luck

Hey, thanks again for the tips!

The Revenant one I already own, but I'll check the higher level dungeons and maybe venture myself a little bit on Wowhead. But thanks anyway! :D
