Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole - Item - World of Warcraft



I was looking at my toon's rep page, and noticed I was 2.5k/6k Friendly (going onto honored) with the Kalu'ak. I thought. . when did I ever get any rep with them, yet alone cross them at all. Upon some research I found that you get 5k Rep for winning the Kalu'ak saturday northrend fishing comp. Therefore, in theory if you win it enough times, you should be right to buy this pole.



I doubt it has ever been done.



I don't know if the comp. hand in quest is repeatable.



It could take years.

I know the two from the dailies in Org/SW did, wowhead still shows this one with 186.6 dps though.

This didn't get nerfed yet. Yes some players are fishing on the kuluak tournament to get the item+Rep, no one achieved to get this thing on a low level yet. Until this happen, I doubt it will get nerf.

I can't win this contest on my main and I do it almost every week, I doubt a 19 can do this...

Reading wowhead coments, someone mentioned this, then someone else did the maths, you would need 9 wins. Im 1/9. . . it would just take insane luck/time.

why would u waste the time getting this just for everyone to send tickets asking for a nerf? this item would just ruin the 19 bracket even more dont ya think?

Let's say that someone managed to get this at win rate of 1/4 contest, it would take 8 months to get it. Now I strongly doubt that they would nerf an item because of one person having it as it wouldn't be able to ruin the whole low leveling balance, and it most likely would take 8 months for next person to get it.



All these numbers are made up to reflect best case scenario. Could take far more as the contest is goddamn bitch to win. So if you have motivation, go for it

I'm going to laugh at all the scrubs who bother getting this. the day they get it. I'll petition for a level requirement
