Is this the end of the twinking? =P

Second, if you leave, the bg will get a replacement (yes, I read your "You don't afk midgame (so no "but they guy next in queue stuff) ", I have no idea whether you think leaving early will or will not result in a replacement, but it will). That replacement guy is fucked. Nice

What? There is clearly going to be a replacement. Normally, it's considered rude afking mid or late game, wasting somebody queue because they come in when the game is basically done (like people afking out on 2-0 with enemy efc on their way to score).
If you leave 1 min before game starts, the next guy will normally come in before it starts or in the very early game, not wasting his q.

First, if some on your side decide to stay, but you leave, you are making it harder for them. Nice.
While you do make it harder per se, you didn't understand when you do this.
In another post, you started complaining how you were 3 twinks vs 3 twinks and one of yours left. That's not a stomp.
6 twinks vs 0 in a 10 man game is. 4/5 twink hunters vs no heal and levelers hunter/melee and you on a melee is a stomp.
You seem not to understand there are many different type of games, and many different type of teams.
You say you didn't get gy camped much: wowowo, you are in the fcking faction that does the gy camp, seem to only play hunter and you can't face ru ally.
ALLIANCE GY CAMP.JPG

Here I joined mid game, so I stayed because it was going to be over very soon. If I joined in the beginning, I would have afked out immediatly.
Tell me now, how my afking or staying would help my team in this game? all the 5 hunters are vet (maybe doum f2p), 3 of them heavy with alchemy.
This are the game you leave. Not whatever fantasy about chickens you got in your mind.

Gonna be honest I didn't even think about ppl leaving before the game even starts lol. Idk i just assumed everyone would at least try even just for laughs my bad.

LOL that SS of the alliance gy farm...man I feel sweaty and gross just looking at this.

In cataclysm (EU at least), horde had instant - 3 min queue, so you could get in, see if the alliance team (that had anything from 10 to 20 min queue) was hunter loaded (remember eyepatch and human racial?) and if you were like on a warlock, you could afk out, relog the hunter, queue, and you would be put on the very same bg and have a much better fighting chance. That was the pinnacle of afking to get a better class given the situation

This changes exactly nothing. The replacement guy is fucked. He waited a long time to get into a bg and you just handed him a losing ticket. Your losing ticket. Because you were a coward.

In another post, you started complaining how you were 3 twinks vs 3 twinks and one of yours left. That's not a stomp.

It was 3 solo twinks (including me) vs 5-man premade with 4 twinks and 1 max-level. You are correct that's not a stomp. Guess what, it was the whole point that it was not a stomp! It was absolutely winnable, but -- what? -- but one of the chicken twinks on my side left. Because he convinced himself that it was oh-so-impossible and it was a waste of his time and he cba and whatnot, all those things chicken say to themselves. Whose reading comprehension is bad now?

Man, you keep making my points for me. You. Joined. Mid-game. And it wasn't great. But why this happened? Because some chicken moron left. G effing g.

How your staying could have helped the team? It depends on what you consider to be helping. Winning a bg? Not always possible, sure. But if you leave, you let down and demoralize others. It is much better to stay and do whatever you can. Who do you want to be - a moron who only stays according to some bizarre odds computed in his mind? or someone you can count on no matter what? You make that choice for yourself.

And yeah, yeah, yeah, totally, I am on the wrong faction, sure, sure. I nearly geared a character on the Horde as well, will complete him for 9.1. Let's see what this will change. Exactly nothing. Chicken will stay chicken and people who don't leave will continue to not leave. Need screens of Horde hunter-healer teams? If you want them, just say and I will take them for you. The number of times I have been farmed on a graveyard is small not because the Horde didn't try, it's because after I lose to Horde premades once or twice, I premade myself and this makes it a little harder to farm graveyards for them.

I made my point, you keep saying the same random bullshit.
It takes 4 hours to make a viable pure f2p hunter starting from a brand new account.
A few more hours to get ANY class up to bg viable on a veteran account.
Yet you only play a full twinked hunter and wine and cry when people that don't play the most op specs decide that they won't play against you and your other bullshit hunters and premaders friends anymore.
Do what you want, play what you want, think what you want.
But remember that action have consequences, and after you did all you could to oppress the other players, do not fucking cry when queues get longer (like it's happening now during the day, evening still seems fine) because people either rerolled hunt or left

Nice projection stuff. It's not you cowardly leaving and going to all ends to justify it, it's me "crying" about it. You are the victim. Because, because, because, oh, I know, I am on an OP class and in an OP faction. Keep telling yourself that. There's a guy on RU horde who plays a warlock. He never leaves. Him I respect. Chicken on the other hand can go take a hike, you are going to be laughing stock forever.

This post of yours it's literally what projection looks like.
Do you feel like a laughing stock in real life? Or have you been called that? Does it help you to believe that others will be the laughing stock (so you are not going to be?).
Same way with the chicken, given they way you bring it up, did you feel like it? Or did some1 implied that agaisnt you?

Did you play any competitive sports? Do you have an idea what an actual competition looks like in terms of balancing? You don't match a heavy weight vs a light weight. Sports like fencing instead will not have class categories, but will still regulate equipment (drawing on masks for example).

You refuse to fight on equal ground with fair rules in place, like a member of the team that drops out and you need to get some1 else as replacement or you can't compete? (mind fencing teams tournaments are still fought 1vs1).
Yes, that could be considered a chicken.
And yet you still wouldn't call him so, because you desperately need bodies, so you would try to make him feel better so the next time he shows up (but once again yes, you would not count on him for anything). Did you do something like this, and were your team mates pricks and called you a chicken and it sticked with you?

Now, to our bracket - it has nothing to do with "fair sports competitions".

The friendly soccer match example I made in the other thread is far more logical to use I think.
Did you ever do some friendly team sport with strangers or people that you barely knew?
You will have people of different levels, and if you want them to show up you have to respect the time and money investment they are making.
And you need other 9 of them to show up, so if some1 tells you that he is not having fun, that he doesn't feel like the teams are balanced and he would like some changes, you don't call him a chicken, you try to make things better, because for the love of god the moment you get some1 to show up you really don't want to lose him.
You see - somebody just want the company, so he would't care about balancing. Somebody doesn't have anything better to do with his time, so he too wouldn't care. But the moment somebody that is there to play fcking soccer and has better things to do calls you out for bad team balancing, you don't tell him "but look, the other 2 have nothing against it, so deal with it, chicken" because you can be sure he won't come again, and once more - you really need people to show up.

More than this, I really don't know what else to say and most of all I feel it's not going anywhere, so I will just rest my case.

As a conclusion and my last say on the topic: this is clearly not the end of twinking and the title was clearly provocative (queues sure could get longer and quality of the game worse) - but an actual argument that could have been interesting for me is "were the previous expansions the end of f2p twinking, so much that very few came back now that gearing for pure f2p is much easier and the gap is almost done?"

...etc etc etc

Your solution for "games are imbalanced": let the weak side leave and let's not call them chicken. If your own side leaves, same, let's not hurt anyone's feelings, they are not having fun, have to go to their mommy to change diapers, etc. (Yeah, I heard about queuing on weaker specs, add that here, too. "Here, let me check if I'll still be able to roll over you with that other spec. I'll be gentle, promise.")

My solution: everybody leaving is a chicken for doing this, because you don't want this to happen on your side first and foremost. If some side is weak, log in for them and queue a premade. You are rewarded with short queues for doing this as well.

That was a a lot... not gonna lie... I read zero of it... because I've read it before.

Staying in a BG that is not going to end quickly *because the other team is prolonging the clock to farm* (which is always obvious to see unless you are a moron)... just makes you a fool... end of story. You can put on your morality panties all you want... it's foolish.

THE POINT IS:

I keep queuing because I like the bracket... but, I can only stand it if I can just leave and requeue in 5 minutes if its an obvious farm/premade.

Everybody just needs to do for themselves what ever makes the game tolerable.

OP is European. He got what he wanted: Attention.

20s Bracket on EU is very alive.

The topic should be "how to get more twinks involved - to get better queues". the issue is:

Cons:
Premades/Broken Classes/Broken Weapons/Extremely High entry cost/Time sink/No Blizzard Support/Average Community

Pros:
You get to read the Xpoff forums

Where did everyone go?
The 20 bracket died so fast in Shadowlands. The endgame is even worse than BFA s4, where you at?

spread out, there is soo much to do now as a 20, content creates a lot of dispersion

- BGs we have a huge selection of specific BGs to get achieves, before we only had WSG, AB, and EOTS. we have some epic BGs
- basic game and 6 expansions of content
-- garrsions to work on
-- ability to que island expeditions
-- reps, mogs, etc. available
- alot of players get involved in farming, by the time they are done perfecting X# of twinks the expac is over.

there are alot of f2p and vet20 twinks on SA servers, on NA seeing alot from kel, tich, area 52, illidan along with obscure servers. que into some random BGs, you will see BH is not the only server that mini mades.

EDIT: I typed too much.

Premades and Goofy-guts that farm yards are the main reason the queues are bad. Just got out of two(which I did stay in by the way... even though my eyes where bleeding)... Gallywix F level hunters getting pockket healed... great show... will they get tired... no.

Twinking gets its bad rep from this shit (the 1 billionth leveler not liking getting farmed and talking in chat is the evidence)... but, you can't fix it because there is no governing force that cares that checks people when they act stupid as fuck... it just continues.

On that note... 99.99999% of eveytopic ever posted on here has been pointless, other than entertainment... if its not "go here to get this"... its just blathering.

***

EDIT 4 in a row... kids dont get tired... full pocket heals on bad hunters... back to my original point... how many of these should I have to endure with out just queing another toon instead. 20 in a row?

Good, you are starting to build some character.

When you are ready for the next step: don't wait until your fourth or fifth graveyard farm (someone used the number 5 up the thread), and if you are seeing hunter-healer don't wait even for the second one. Endure through the first loss, then get a premade of your own. Problem solved. With a lot of good delivered for other players of your faction along the way.

What you don't get, is that premades are the problem and why the queues are not as good as they could be. That is the mental block.

You can fix this problem. I just said how. There are other problems you cannot fix, but this one you can.

Yeah, but that is self defeating because it only makes the larger problem worse... more premades = worse queue times as more levelers avoid the bracket.
