Is there a beginners guide to twinking?

No-Puhi

as a newbie in the whole world of twinking and this site, i was searching for some information that could help me start playing my f2p account.
Unfortunately i couldnt find any.
My main question is if there were recommended realms to play on where the community is more present.
Also i remember seeing somewhere that the f2p or just the 20 twinks had an addon that helped out with communication and grouping. Is that still a thing?
Please point me to in the right direction if there is a guide that i missed that answers these questions.
Thank you! :D

Here's a link for BiS for PVP ( entirely based on Item Level): Legion BiS for Battlegrounds
There aren't too many PVE/ World PVP twink guides as of late, but generally you want Elemental Force on your weapon, Shoulder Enchants, MoP Speed enchants on Cape and Boots and WoD ring enchants

The OP stated F2P, not sure how anything but your first sentence is relevant to him. Also MoP Speed enchants on Cape? You sure you didn't mean to say WoD Gift Enchant to Cape? Another thing the MoP Boots Speed Enchants do not stack with any other Movement Speed, only 'Minor Speed' does.

My entire post is relevant because he said he wanted to start his F2P account. This may mean he is coming from a Vet account thinking about going F2P. OP may or may not know that F2P here means strictly F2P, and might not be able to differentiate between Vets and F2P.

Also the F2P chat addon is called 'F2PAddon'.

What you are not being told is that twinking as has been know until now is essentially over for instanced pvp. Any gear in every slot and you're ready to play. Gear drops when you win that is a fun incentive, but not essential at all.

I'm finding battlegrounds to be more fun than they've been in ages, especially since they've restored scaling. Just log in and play!

Aerie Peak used to be THE realm, and I've seen more logging in there since the patch. Bleeding Hollow is another, especially for premaders. If you do premade, please play against other premades instead of ruining randoms. The chat addon still works but isn't used much anymore, though maybe we'll see a revival with the return of short queues and FUN!

Your entire post isnt relevant because even if he is vet he cant put any enchants on his gear, and he cant obtain any of the gear in the Legion BiS thread. Also you cant go from a vet account to f2p, you can only create another f2p account if your account is already vet.

@No-Puhi gear isnt that relevant anymore if you are planning on doing bgs, just lvl up to 20 and get a piece of gear in every slot from running dungeons or from quest gear. The two best relms for you to play on are Aerie Peak or Bleeding Hollow (Assuming you are playing on US and not EU), Both horde and alliance on these relms have a good community. Like Dragpz said the f2p addon is the addon players use to community although not many use it these days. If you are just a f2p the Legion bis gear thread wont help you out because you cant obtain any gear in there besides hook of the master angler.

Well, it is relevant. The Thread Title "Is there a "Beginniner's Guide to Twinking". I answered OP's question.

Even though it is for 19's there might be some useful info about the site

Heh, all this time and I've never actually watched that video, it's well done.
They used to have it on the front page as soon as you clicked on the site, not sure why they removed it. It's really good for people getting into twinking and for people who are new to the site. @Conq you should put this video back the front page somewhere even if its just for people who arent registered to the site yet (if such a thing is possible).
