Is Pterrordax Hatchling available for F2Ps?

I got stuck at 74 pets and farming fossil artifacts seemed to be the easiest way to get the last one to complete the achievement.
However, after wasting lotta time and asking around in the f2pchannel, I became unsure if F2Ps are able to collect this pet.
The question is, any of you guys had luck getting it?
The pet I'm talking about is : Pterrordax Hatchling - Item - World of Warcraft

I don't think it is possible because no TI member report getting it (as a f2p lv 20) in past threads.

But looking at your toon (2nd and 3rd toons), there are pets you get as a lv 20 (without having to farm things alone):

Macabre Marionette - Item - World of Warcraft, Darkmoon Hatchling - Item - World of Warcraft, Kirin Tor Familiar - Item - World of Warcraft, Wolpertinger's Tankard - Item - World of Warcraft,

I think the easiest (for you) is to go for Darkmoon Hatchling - Item - World of Warcraft.

My f2p acount (before linked if it matters) got the fossilized raptor pet by chance while I was going for the title. So, yes, I would assume the same is true for this one, unless there's a big difference.

Actually the Kirin Tor fimiliar should be much easier to get now since there won't be as much competition like there used to be. It is just a matter of making yourself a search pattern in Dalaran to look for the books. That is what I did during WotLK. It took me months to get the achievement. I would only do it in my spare time though. I bet if you were persistent, you could do it within a week now.

I have the clockwork gnome and the fossilized raptor, so it's more then likely obtainable for ftp.

But yes, it takes a while to get a rare/epic item through archeology.

Nope. Unless something has changed since this was written in regards to archaeology.

I would suggest farming Dark Whelpling, buying a cheap TCG pet, or trying for the familiar. Otherwise, some of the other pets you could get will be at least a month.

That fucking pet pisses me off, I got a Druid on Nesingwary that has all the books besides the Enchantment one

Higher Learning used to be easy if you formed a group of people searching and exchanging information on spawntimes of books and dud-books. You can do it yourself quite fast if you work with a system. Take spawntimes into consideration; park alts if you can; check the comments on wowhead, some useful ones on spawntimes.

Depending on your amount of dmf points collected already or luck on the oozling, this would probably be your fastest attainable pet.
