Basically back from wow break, might just play around with Twinks while I wait for next xpac etc, is now a good time to create a Demon Hunter twink as its remix, is it as simple as just getting a remix dh to 11 and then logging out and waiting for remix to end?

+is 10 or 11 stronger twink atm?

Characters are eligible for transfer from remix to regular after 24 hours. No need to wait until remix ends.

I personally recommend making more than one if you're chasing anything that can be acquired once per character. Quest rewards and what not.

Biased as I main DH, but Yeah, you can get good bag slots and such. The only thing you'll be missing is the Inquisitor's menacing eye as they don't play through the starting zone. These days, however, there are alternative options for a stat item, so having a timewalking character doesn't really have a downside stat-wise.

Is there a preferred bracket for DH? I understand low level scaling has most benefit, but looking at the spellbook, I'm not sure 2 buttons at level 10-11 to work with will make up for the lost fan factor.

Power wise, havoc at 11 is no longer playable in timewalking unfortunately but still a beast in regular dungeons. You have a pursty playstyle where you want to collect mobs together to one one shot with eye beam, and juggle the cds. Frush can be used as both a mobility and aoe ability, and ur single target dps is unironially pretty good.

As a pve dh main, DH at 11 is meta due to dungeon skips. Usually tw/dungeon twinks only have two variables to worry about which is character power and speed, demon hunter has a third which is skipping. Eye beam is busted by itself so it's power I'd put at B or a low A, (main problem is lack of spammable aoe), speed with frush, double jump and glide is great even though it will get outrun by druids and such for pure racing i think, and a huge pool of dungeons has skips if you know where to look.

It's getting a huge mobility nerf in midnight (loses one fel rush charge) which actually makes a few dungeon skips impossible without more advanced tech but it's by far still the most OP class still if you're just going for dungeon completion. Nothing really beats a 20-30 second underbog on a dh.

made the 11 dh! do you think that's best Twink bracket for dh atm, 11 havoc and just beam on cd? what's stat prior and bis?

if you are F2P, Vet, etc. the 36 slot bags and the reg bag is a good reason to make level 10 characters to start with, even if you delete them in the future

as for DH talk, i have two at 10 i roll as veng spec dual LS.

11 is not a bracket it's a choice to gain a ability usually. i have a hunter at 13 it would be crap at 10-12. expacs ago fury wars went 14 later expacs later became viable at 11 so most rerolled and moved down

As of warwith in for timewalking 70 dh is better than anything in the game for timewalking.11 dh is very good for stuff like tbc dungeons but now unplayable in timewalking after the changes since you kill way too slow. Will need to see what happens in midnight.

for 11 in particular this is my char, pretty geared: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/character/us/terenas/yonne/
You want mastery> crit = verse >>>> haste for large eye beam build. meta for clearing is skips, or mass pulling to pull everything together then mass aoe with eye beam. Squishy at 11 and relies on souls to heal as well as medallion trinket to keep u alive (ilev 30 version works fine)

Other 10-11s have been able to mitigate the TW changes by dumping primary stat. Is that not really an option for a DH twink? I haven't played one so I don't know. Or is it a case of it helps but not enough and it just doesn't feel great?

It's also worth noting we're only a few months away from Midnight, which likely marks the end of the 70 meta. I'm sure there'll be a new 80 meta. Maybe 70s will still be good but you'll need to XP lock, which kills your queue times.

Lifesteal can't keep you alive?

The 'option' is there sure. if you do the regear you will perform better in timewalking. However, it'll still be so weak compared to it's max level 80 dh counter part that there is no point in playing the 11. So ye it 'doesn't feel great' you're spot on.

The meta is undecided, so far on beta 80s have unfortuantely proven to be very bad though I personally expect changes.

Lifestealing: Lifestealing will not keep you alive as it is purely smth that interacts with spinning crane kick/whirlwind, in other words an ability that rapidly strikes multiple enemies with your equipped weapons to proc the enchant multiple times. Demon hunter doesn't have this ability and thus usually use attack power enchannts. Demon hunter's base survivability is fairly weak when it comes to glory pulling even in tbc, and it's survivability is mainly dependent on killing enemies and consuming souls which it can't do in timewalking since it can't kill enemies fast enough as it's healing is directly tied to getting kills.
