So guys, for my eternal regret i have an bound black widow band on a char that i never played before .
After a couple tries with gms they told me that unbind such item was simply not possible to do it .
so i may ask, is it possible to do it at all ? all or i'm just wasting my time trying ?

i would apreciate some answers . THX

You also need to keep in mind how long its been since you equipped it. The reason why some people have done it before is because almost immediately after the item was bound, they sent in a ticket for it. If its been awhile, I'm not saying it's impossible, but your chances of finding a nicer GM are gonna be much less likely

Yeah, the act of unbinding a boe itself isn't impossible though. I've personally done it on a pair of Mindthrust Bracers that I accidentally equipped on my hunter, and I did this maybe a few months ago, but my ticket came very shortly after doing so.

i know that my friend had his char deleved a few weeks ago (wich is extremely rare ) . so now i know that is possible to unbind my ring i will keep trying . thank you .

so i tried to get a hm to unbind a post 7.3.5 ring that had an extra ordinary ilvl compared to it's pre 7.3.5 counterpart. It was 180 ilvl and the other pre 7.3.5 was 100 ilvl, when asked to unbind, they told me they could give me a new one but not unbind it. I was excited until finding our they couldn't give me the 180 version of said ring, just the 100 ilvl one. So i hope this helps, it didn't help me , but it may help put your question in perspective

items sometimes become unbound with patches. rare occasions. last one i heard of was during mop.
Nothing you personally able to do beside asking gms or waiting on an exploit to pop up.

It's possible, but you need to act quick upon equipping the item, or make up some crazy story that still makes sense at the end of it all.

If you open the ticket right after equipping it then yes it’s possible. Getting the item unbound from WoD is extremely unlikely

Alright guys thank you for your responses . I will actually try a few more times once i get back into the game and let you guys aware if i had a positive response.

They may flag your account for GM harassment if you do it too frequently! It has happened to a few users on here. Be wary!

Might as well throw in my 2 pennies since I have done my fair share of GM exploiting (dont tell pls).

The only time I was able to unbind a bound BoE item was in 4.3 when Transmogrification was just added.
There were multiple cases of players having random BoE items bind to their character upon log-in. Several blue posts were done acknowledging this issue and encouraged players to open tickets to have their items unbound.

I believe a post was made on Xpoff (twinkinfo at the time). Having an equipped pair of Feet of the Lynx on my main chilling for ages in my bank, I found it to be the perfect opportunity to get a new free pair for my 19 rogue.

It worked :)

Moral of the story is to always be on the look-out for these "bugs", and try to take advantage of them as much as you can. GMs become much easier to manipulate if there is an acknowledge bug and you give them the line "as said in this blue post...."
