Is it possible to play EU from US / Oceanic?

Does anyone play (or has played) on EU from US or Oceanic locations?
I'm trying to work out how to create an EU account, but when I go to create a new account it takes me to the US website.
Anyone know how to bypass this? Or is the lag so bad I shouldn't worry about it?
Bear in mind I'm from Aus and played for many years with 300 ping on US servers, so it is manageable for me.
Would appreciate any help or assistance.

Yes it's possible, just set your region in the options.

I'm not sure why this is proving to be so difficult
I seem to be able to switch regions, but how can I make a European account on my current Battle.net launcher?
I see I may be able to make a new account, but it'll have to be with a new email address. I'm trying to get it under my current one. Is that possible? Sorry to ask here, I can't seem to find anything useful on the WOW Forums.

Talk to a GM and ask them to put an EU acc on ur bnet since the link only gives a US download.

You used to be able to just modify the Config.wtf, open Wow.exe and then login to your account. Then that in turn would automatically create a US/EU Trial account (that you would see if you later start up the Launcher).

Othwerwise, adding US/EU 10day-trial key used to also work.

i know i was confused but i googled it and found some instruction on forums, can't really remember. perhaps it is something like add new account. mind you, it'll probably add two at once, some kinda bug. i kept it.

While attempting to add a WoW EU account to your battle.net account, I’ll share a quick heads up:
Be aware that your EU account won’t have access to BoAs and transmogs that you unlocked from, say, your US account (in other words, be aware that you’ll be starting completely from scratch).
Apparently while BoA/transmog/etc. unlocks are supposedly battle.net-account-wide, such account-wide unlocks don’t transfer to regions outside the region you unlocked those account-wide-things on. For example, if you unlocked a BoA on US, it won’t unlock for EU unless you unlocked it with a WoW EU account.

Ive played on argent dawn EU for a long time and I live in Hong Kong. The lag in game is barely noticeable and the bar always stays green - around 180 ms

If your not on taiwan , youre doing it wrong
