I'm not a delusional fan who thinks it's going to be as big like last time with 4 million players but considering the success of old school runescape and the fact that it's one of the largest private server scenes in the gaming world. It's going to work out just fine.
A private server was just launched last month, 2 months before classic and it peaked at 15k players. A shitty little gate keeped russian server.

About half of my irl friends who have ever played wow are planning on playing. Compared to the 1 or 2 that try the new expansions. That's pretty good.
