i kinda miss playing my 49 rogue...honestly i am burnt out and no longer have any desire to play wow...i really miss the old days when i would farm ST solo between BG pops, those were the BEST days...i feel like crying when i look at SS or video from the old days. this game is no longer fun, blizzard, you really screwed up this time.

yea its still alive

i like your title asking the question but the whole post is just to basically bump your old vids. lol'n

but yea we all miss the old days. some of my favorite times was during vanilla 49s, tho bc was still ballin too and even lk up till 3.2

This bracket is dead i qeued on my shaman and never got a pop i would 3-4 hours and nothing. what i did was i just turned on my exp again left the bracket.

are you us? cuz i got pops last time i tried (week or so ago)...its been dead on eu for a loooong time tho

well when i qeued around 5:00 realm time that`s when peope start to qeue for all brackets i never got a pop.

and I`m U.S..and i never got a pop.

we're supposed to que at 10pm est, but ques havent been popping till like 1030 or 11. so if youre pst youre queing too early and if youre oceanic idk what time that translates into

3 games only?

i guess it's like downward filtering, the less popular brackets eventually die off...

well yeah. but its still going...soooo que and tell everyone to que while its still going

or dont, and contribute to its decline

This is very off-topic, but i have to ask.

Are there any achievement farmers playing at 49?? - If this is inappropriate, please shout.

Best regards

Healin.

I don't think there are any achievement farmers. From time to time an ungeared lower level player will wander in, but otherwise we almost always play against the same people. We are a very small and tight-knit community, and you are welcome to play with us if you'd like. ^.^

Just wondering, when do games happen? This was one of my favorite brackets for the short time I played in it, but having games once a week is frustrating to say the least.

49s officially play starting 10pm EST/7pm PST on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. That said, games actually tend to get going about 10:30/7:30 or so. Like with other midbrackets, gamenights have been hit or miss, but still going. I've seen a growth of interest lately from a few new players, which should help stabilize game nights. Definitely check out the 49 thread in the official WoW forums for more info.

If you haven't updated your gear since the Shattering, you'll definitely want to do so before getting on the field. With the burst as high as it is, 49s typically recommend a minimum of 4K health on any toon, to get started. I've seen 3.3K crits, as a reference. The bracket's also helpful with gearing up and so forth, so depending on what server your 49 resides, you can get help with your updates.

If you like, post or PM your toon armory, and I can help point you in the right direction for the updates that will make the biggest impact for you.

Unfortunately, my leaving of the bracket wasn't exactly voluntary (banned), but I'm willing to gear up the same class/spec combo as before. How are Tauren Resto Druids doing these days? What, if any, BoEs are still in action. I had 20 Ribsplitters before the Shattering that I had to vendor ><, what else am I tossing?

Ugh...I gotta tell you, of all the class/spec combinations in 49s to choose right now, resto druid sits at the bottom of the list. Their HoTs simply aren't as effective in such a high-burst bracket, and their squishiness makes them prime targets. A resto druid needs tremendous team support to be effective, and while I've seen it happen, I don't think you'll have much fun with it right off the bat. I'm all for playing underrated class/spec combos, but I'd hate to see you put in the effort to create a 49 resto druid only to be a 49 punching bag. Any of the other three healers will perform much better for you.

If you really want to give it a shot, I'll post my equipment list I gathered for my 49 druid's resto offspec. I don't recall any BoEs as part of that, but I'd have to check.

What about Feral or Balance?

What classes are good at healing at 49?

Feral dps is pretty strong from what I remember; I haven't seen one in a bit. Feral for an FC druid works pretty well.

All the other healers perform well, so it's a matter of your personal preference. I suppose if I had to rank them, I'd go H.Pally > Disc Priest > R. Shaman; they all bring good options to the bracket.

They can still insta ghost wolf. Nature's swiftness. 2min cd XD I would rank h.pally>resto sham>disc priest. Priest are also on the squishy side. I wouldnt' recommend druid either until you're comfortable with 49's. Right now horde does need healers pretty bad.

Feral druids actually have high burst dps, their surivivability if in a bad situation is frustrating, to say the least. Moonkins are very underpowered imo.

GM of a guild on a server i'm on had a killer 49 rogue....was BIS all the way around, war bear mount, etc. recently saw him he has moved to 60-64 and is a 64.

i was like whoa, so i whispered him, and he said it was a painful decision to level, but 49 BGs where no longer popping, even on scheduled play nights game quality was poor, and world PVP ganking in STV, EPL, and tanaris was dismal. (btw this in on a high pop server) due to many players leveling in dungeon finders. how ever at 58 they do hit OL and HFP is somewhat happening and at 64 he is getting BGs
