Interest in a Twink Guild Guide?

I do agree that just about any player with a certain minimum level of mild interest can easily learn to follow a general battle plan after a few games' worth of practice. It's a bit like raiding, as in an elite few can role model and handle the details, while the more casual half are there to fill in needed numbers (as in dmg numbers). Personally, 95% of the time I'd rather bring a newb twink with me than risk a pug.

I agree with your post, Jay (may I call you Jay?), however I'm selfish and I want those "elite few" to be the "elite majority". I'd be happy with three or so being the casuals that fill the extra slots. Let me define - by casual I mean casual by play style, not play frequency.

If thats what you prefer to strive for, then go with that. As a guild leader, you must make the choice: quality or quantity.

As far as your bracket goes, if there aren't many twinks period, maybe you are better off getting the best ones you can. If you are happy with a few good active twinks, then don't worry about it.

However, to compete with guilds like "Dolphins" you might to need to branch out and find some of those less-than-perfect players to teach. You don't necessarily need to fund them, but if they are willing to learn, sometimes they can be taught.

it does seem that guilds with bad players can last a very long time and be very active, from my experience. the ones with lots of skilled players fall apart if they are 'too' active.
