Imbalance

Horde have pretty much been steam rolling all weekend. Just came out of a game 3-0 where Alliance didn't get one single HK. Saxxon and I were trying for the flag the whole time so didn't really try to get kills and the rest of the team were pretty much pugs. I'd just like to know why Horde generally wins. Is it because they have better twinks? If so, why? They seem generally more tactical, aware, experienced, geared and mature. I'd like to know (if there is an answer) why, recently, there is such an imbalance.

(This is coming from alliance US)

But why do Horde communicate better? Is it because they generally have more experienced players? If so, why?

I have not seen this imbalance you speak of this weekend. I spent years as horde and it had nothing to do with communication but more so experience. That being said at this moment in time in the inevitable twink activity cycle there are MANY new twinkers, horde and ally both, and it will take time for them to smarten up. In ruin almost everyone had macros to spam to try and communicate, which I'm failing to see a lot of alliance side. But honestly it's all about luck and who you get in a game with. If you don't have many people on your server try to coordinate ques with others. My guys and TI have been trying to que together this weekend and look forward to the challenging games. Unfortunately I'm failing to see many solid alliance guilds emerging, well there hasn't been very many horde either, and it's very disheartening. There was more group activity in the Ruin battlegroup alone than there is now in this HUGE combination of battlegroups. As Bone mentioned to me yesterday, the summer is approaching and that has historically (sadly because of the kiddies) given new life to the 19 twink bracket. So just buckle down, learn some stuffs, and group up. I look forward to seeing new guilds/twinks emerging, and pray for the competition that comes with it. Believe me you DO NOT want it to be like it was a before xpoff when you facerolled teams naked. >.> Be happy for what we have, and make it work. <3

i think its all about luck. If you happen to have better players in your bg (any side) than that side will do better

these threads are hilarious. two weeks ago alliance was imbalance, now how horde.

you aren't on a bad team, YOU ARE THE BAD TEAM.

Yep, random pugs are random. I've had the same experience on EU side as Horde over the weekend, mostly due to severe class-imbalances (where are all the horde pallies ;)).

I've had tons of games on alliance when we used to get thrashed. I've also had tons of games on horde when we get thrashed. What I've learned is you have to MAKE the communication. Most people just sit there and if they lose they say stuff like "Noob Team" etc etc. Talk to your team and if they don't respond THEN you can say they were just plain bad.

Gotta love those, especially when they ragequit, get replaced with a decent player and the team wins.

a while back this was caused as players factioned changed to get BIS gear, but this and games go in cycles, depends what times you are playing. but recently alot of things i have noticed are affecting games.

- game rigging for wins, achieves

- dual boxing as in rolling a opposite faction to keep games rolling

- win-logging...some players with duel faction twinks win-log what ever faction is winning. even within the games inprogress if other side appears they are gonna win, they leave/afk out. next game they are on other faction. appears a few duel faction twinked guilds are doing this alot along with game rigging

this IMO, makes what should be a few game losing streak into a constant losing streak.

i played all weekend and we only won a few. the times we won was when we had more hunters even 1 more hunter got us the win. pls tell me when you are in q because i would like to win sometimes. friday was mostly ally the few wins came sat. if we do have tons of new players help them out. never bash there gear wisp them something that might help. tell them of twink info and maybe direct them to an active twink guild.

This is all part of the ebb and flow of twinking. Learn to make it as balanced as possible and if you can't, well, you can't. Play, have fun and get better or just shut the fuck up about it.

People like that will never go away. They're nobody IRL so they use this game as a status symbol in their minds to cope with it. Which is really even more sad than initially thought because this community is a subdivision of the main stream WoW players. So they're not just a joke IRL, they're a joke in this fictional universe too. To clearify, I'm talking about any player who afks to protect a reputation. There are a lot of them and it sounds as if it's turning into a trend.

I agree. As far as the rep... it's data rep. The thing these ppl don't realize is how bad it looks to everyone else in the bg when they afk at the first hint of a loss. Thats the rep I care about.

I don't think there is imba at all, I think it's just who is playing at the time, you do usually get a few kids on the weekend who think they are twinks just cause they have boas but then see them get the 1000 hk achieve

L2 vent as well, If 5 people usually are in vent together it makes a huge difference

+ I love xenaria

word, although i'm sure it could be spoken a little more polite, also, i love the "protect their rep" part, because after a while, people like that gets a crappy reputation anyways..
