Surprisingly, I actually did. With owning a business, my time was extremely casual. 119 Twinking gave me the perfect opportunity to enjoy what I loved (PvP) without the gearing/extra pressure from end game. Even with two twinked 119's, our community (alliance side, can't speak for Horde) was outstanding and fun to play with, especially getting to know regulars. I made some good friends in our community and now it's destroyed. My subscription actually ended today, so luckily I just cut it off before the renewal and decided to part ways with the game after 12 years. It's sad they had to squash something so simple.

I'd spent the past couple of weeks working on a 110, and leveling a 119, finally finished my Timewalking set the night before the patch.
I went so far as to get a refund from Blizz as I'd just re-subbed on the 9th (Patch was the 12th).
I think I'll still try my F2P/Vet toons from time to time but I really can't justify giving Blizz money when they pull stuff like this. I liken it to buying a TV/Cable package because you really like a specific channel, and then three days after you sign up they remove that channel.

All my joy has been sucked out. Only reason I (and many others on this forum) play this game is to play twinks in battlegrounds. Now when it's next to impossible to get any queues poppin in all brackets, I don't see the point anymore. I used to use my high lvl characters to fund my twinks and even they are boring to spend my time on now... As if that wasn't enough, now no one can truly be BiS since it's all about rng now... Will that quest reward be epic or not, who knows? Meh, I hope classic will be as classic really was, until then my sub will remain canceled or until they fix this shit so we can play together with xp-on again. We went through this stull back in Wotlk and they realized they had to change it back, let's hope they do that this time as well. /peace

They did. I actually made a thread about it yesterday (pretty much the dumb move OP is saying not to do lol) with a screenshot of the interaction, in the event anyone wanted to do the same.

Don’t do this! The change could always be reverted! You could regret it later- as I and many others have with old toons.
