I'm joining the bracket, convince me not to make a 24.

If you didn't you would just roll a 24 and be done with it, instead of posting "convine me" crap.

Actually this whole F2P forum is an att whore magnet, I don't even know why I keep reading it. When it's not 24s making these crap topics, it's the F2P 20s screaming "XYZ reason is killing the bracket"

you're forgetting the "this forum sucks" commentors.

play a 24 and you will get focused by pretty much the entire team. having like 3 people and two hunter pets on you is deemed a fair 1v1 and you will be ridiculed for losing in such a scenario. if you do play a 20 and so much as look at the auction house you are pretty much scum and again will be farmed relentlessly.

this bracket is pretty crappy besides the near instant pops for horde.

Don't go the easy road. Make a 20 and challenge yourself. The rewards are much better. I think a 24 powerhouse would get old before a 20 would.

I am sorry, this comment is going to make some people mad, but how hard is $15/mo? Even if you are a youngster with no job, do some chores, get some allowance. Cut some yards in the neighborhood. I don't want to come off as mean, but you are really limiting yourself with F2P to the point where I can not see this as remotely being fun unless it's all about the gear planning and all. I have been in some 20-24 games and an undergeared 24 hunter can wreck an entire team of unhealed 20s with ease. It didn't look fun to me.

I like the challenge of it and I'm a p2p20. I don't care - it's wow and it's about finding what makes it fun for you. I stopped having fun in 19s and end game became dull.

This bracket is alot of fun and it seems to be growing - quick queues competitive games good peeps.

I don't think it's a matter of lack of finances, it never was. Some people are taking advantage of something that is free, that's all. I'm not sure why people are still trying to troll with the whole "you can't pay for WoW lol" spiel.

Agree. Didn't know you had a blog, was a fun read. Thanks =)

It's not fun. I'm still plugging away at it waiting for the moment of realization to come so I will see what exactly it is I'm missing here, but it's not happening.

look i am a very long term twinker and don't want to completely miss out on an active bracket but even though i have read the F2P forums and i see the fun in the challenge of doing everything yourself this is a serious challenge to this bracket. All i hear is people complaining about 24s. I tend to agree with walt and drayner. if there is a viable level 20 counter to the 24s that are being rolled by people who are tired of the brackets they were in, or assholes then why are people complaining so much. people are going to play at max lvl in a bracket with the best chants and gear they can get unless they want to buy in to the idea that 20s are trying to make their own individual bracket. thats why i said convince me. if it were about attention don't you think i would have made a sig by now linking some of my 20+ hardcore twinks.

Me a troll? Never! Always a Bloodelf or Nelf. I am not ragging on people not paying for wow at all, but I just can't understand why people that CAN AFFORD to pay for wow don't. R prime has a good explanation above. I can buy it, but for me, I can't see it. 20 vs hunters = 19 vs hunters. Limiting a toon when others in bracket are getting full enchants still doesn't seem like a challenge, it seems like suicide.

You should try it out. The 24's don't really pose that big a threat. They usually suck, and if they are many, so what, you lose a game. Most games its 20s vs 20s and often its AP horde against AP alliance.

Just stay Pay to play and stick to the F2P regulations and you'll have a near bis toon in a flash.

Id advice against rolling a warlock though :)

PS, its nearly always fun fighting against 1-2 24s. Feels so good when we own them and you can even do small premades without it being faceroll because of them. Hard matches FTW

Isn't F2P trial accounts there to let people genuinely interested in trying Wow, try Wow? I mean, I understand getting upset in an XP off bracket like 19, 29, 39, 70 etc that someone turned off XP to play alongside twinks for whatever reason, but not this bracket. These people have more a right to be there than us twinks right? If that mage, which I agree was horribly geared, was indeed a potential customer, how do you think this verbal assault made the game look to him?

How is that experience any different than his time playing 10-19 xp on BGs? Trial accounts are consistently getting ragged on for not having BoA. He would have quit long before making it to the 20 bracket if he was going to quit based on fair itemization and teammates with class.

But I do agree that people should have a bit more class in informing people on how to gear up instead of blasting them.

You are welcome. :) Thanks.

I have a few minutes. Does anyone want to hear to complaints I had in the couple games I played in this bracket this past weekend? No? Oh well, here goes anyhow. :)

1 game I was in, we met the other team mid. Destroyed their whole team except for a 24 rogue that made it across. I met him on our ramp and took him out. I mounted up and went for their flag. I got killed by 2 hunters and a mage while trying to leave their FR. No problem, we'll try again. By this time, our 6 hunters and 2 priests made their way to the other teams GY and pushed back. They camped GY for a good 10 minutes. I was on my way for another attempt at grabbing their flag when I noticed their FC, this rogue again was moving along towards their tunnel. I could have intercepted him at the tunnel entrance but instead I watched as he passed behind (within arrow range even) 4 hunters and 2 priests still camping the GY. I decided to back off and let the rogue on by too. I was then chastised in chat for not getting him. After a minute or two of words back and forth and being called a noob, they decided to attempt to win. 6 minutes left in the game and they failed. We lost 0-1.

The second thing that bothered me was pregame chatter. Saw a well geared 20 blasting a mage that was in greens with no enchants. For the record, there were 3 ragging him and 1 of them was an almost 1800hp 20 Pally from Arie Peak. I was shocked because I thought you guys were policing your game play with some standards.

I am not dogging the entire F2P bracket with these 2 bad tastes in my mouth, but thought it was worth mentioning. I know there are some good people rolling this bracket from some of the names I see here posting in them.

Yeah you are making good points, however people new to the game or kind of new really love ganking people. You can really see that people playing 24 backpeddling and such, that means they aren't skilled and still want to own in someway. Now this is the problem at the 10-40 lvls. People that are new to the game reroll hunters to enjoy it someway, maybe they rolled a warlock first and really couldn't put out any killing blow (yes their goal).

As you see, it's a problem for many brackets.

roll 24 and pwn asses maybe some of these players will get tired of it and play legit accounts again. If you see a lvl 20 in a bg I say pwn the hell out of them and show them the game goes past 20 too.

"THIS IS NOT A BRACKET" catered to free rolling players, this bracket is for players of lvl 20-24. if you must do free to play, play a bracket lower 10-14 so you don't get out leveled by a paying customer(OK, I know that takes time/work like a real twink)

as far as picking on certain players for being 24 or better geared then you, that will bite you in the ass when your the only 20 left. (on an account that no one has any use for)

IMO free players should /delete @ 20 and reroll for more exp ON bg's 10-19

0/10 for that troll attempt

whats with these 24s trolling the f2p forums alot these days?

long queue times while we are premading with each other? awww poor walt disney has a long queue time and has to find a way to vent his frustration poor guy

all this time and effort put into playing wow for free, in the pretense that you can be better with less, it don't work like that, pay to play or play something else trials are for new players.

BTW don't play above 19 and won't

calm down

you should be like the ceo of blizzard than you can dictate what players do

Have a nice day sir :)

Each individual of course does still have the right and freedom to do exactly as he pleases, and there's not a whole lot of "policing" that we can do. However, having said that, to hear that someone from Aerie Peak was ragging on someone instead of fostering the bracket does not sit well with me, and if this is Alliance side you can send me a private message and I'll see what I can do within our server's community. Not that I have ANY authority whatsoever, I'm just a chum like anyone else, but we do try to look after our own, and I doubt that I am alone in the AP community in my opinion that that should be addressed. I think by and large the folks on AP want to be a positive example for the rest of the bracket and the F2P community. I'm sorry that your experience was different.

premade & arena does not count the world. the lucky rnd match was, is and will be still a part of f2p. ur also "meetin" the same gys, the same trials.

and therefor these 24 twinkards are just sad. mostly no balls (tryin to pwn the 20s), but sometimes no skill too.

anyway. there are diff questions of balancin in that bracket ... faction or class for example.
