ilvl 35 droppable?

Greens scale +3 ilvls and are generally not worth looking at. Drops are occassionally scaled and sometimes unscaled, idk why.

Just a point of clarification: this is apparently a lot of greens but every armor type, as far as I can tell, has green boes that drop at +5ilvl which are exactly equal to rare upgrade pvp crates.

non-exhaustive list:

Cloth:
Greenweave / Shimerring / Ivycloth (Conjurer, Elder, Durable, Thistlefur for 29)

Leather:
Superior / Scouting (Infiltrator, Headhunter, Cutthroat, Archer for 29)

Mail:
Fortified / Grunt's / Spiked Chain (Phalanx, Wicked chain, Thick Scale, Renegade for 29)

Plate:
??

This is also true for weapons:

1H - Ridge Cleaver (Hilborne Axe @ 29)
2H - Hefty Battlehammer (Acrobatic Staff @ 29)
Shield - Fortified (Wicked Chain @ 29)

Finger:
Prairie ring / Coral Band (Spinel Ring @ 29)



A small number of these are 100% no contest BiS, like the level 20 mail leggings, which are significantly better than the heirloom legs most people use. All of them are equivalent to any Battleground crate rare upgrade, in terms of stats and weapon damage exactly, with the notable exception of anything that has the "of the adaptable" suffix, (vers only) which does not drop on boes. Given that the rare upgrades are BiS for a tooooon of spots, that's kind of a big deal.

Greens are BiS substitutes or BiS for like 40% of the slots in this bracket. Not to be rude or anything it's just.. this feels like it should be common knowledge by this point in the xpac and I'm not sure why it's not, or why nobody is incorporating it into BiS lists, etc.



(these legs, which are enchantable, come with quickblade suffix, are better than the Heirloom Legs which have 6/9/8 with no versatility)

I haven't looked into it that far yet, but if you're farming for lvl 15 armor and 17 weps, it probably wont be best on a 19 since the armor might scale to 20 instead. So a 15-17 might be best, but then you're missing out on the 20-60 zones and might be stuck to 15-60 zones like hillsbrad

They drop at the closest level below player level so if ur 19 it’ll be 15 for armor 17 for weapons

+5 ilvl greens still drop, they are unscaled. The scaled greens are +3 ilvls and generally not worth looking into
