Ilvl 32 Items Index Thread

Hi all, I know there were multiple threads about the quest items upgrade changes that were implemented with 8.1.5, but I was failing to find a well organised and easy to search for stats thread, so I went to dig in Wowhead. Instead of just checking for myself, I decided I will spend some extra time and will screenshot the stats of each and every available green/blue quest item as they will be if they are upgraded to epic quality. And all of this just because I love ya all.

A few things before I start:
- I am checking only items available to cloth and leather characters (+ weapons for them). Just don't have enough time for everything.
- Some items are Ally/Horde specific, if you like something, go and check the name in Wowhead.
- I am skipping Rare upgrades (ilvl 26) as BG and Dungeon items would have better stats at that ilvl than quest rewards.
- I have added the rare-specific BoE drops that are known to have a chance to upgrade.

I am trying to figure out what may be the best, not what people have found, thats why I am checking every item one by one. Thanks for the heads up anyway!

- Usual Pattern is the stats pattern that can be seen multiple times and easy to farm for upgrade

P.P. All that I have checked actually have the same stats. Maybe you dont have PTR checked in the wowhead website? The "Live" version of the stats in Wowhead is messed up still.

I will invest the time in writing a script that can automatically gather all the information by type of item and ivl to be scaled to. It may take a day but the results would be stored in a table that can be easily filtered and searched into by the community.

How are you getting cloth rewards for your druid tho? I thought the new system restricted them to leather.

I am not, but just filtering by "usable by druid" , which is fast and also helps me check gear for my alts (all cloth)

I don't think this is accurate for all quest ilvl 26 rewards.

Dungeon ilvl 26 gloves only have + 8 total secondaries. I've come across a bunch of quest greens, that if upgraded to ilvl 26, would have superior stats to dungeons.

I'm not sure that this items could be epic.(+Bonus 10armor? ~= 1,7397% decrease physical dmg) You can farm it nonstop with bug (Kill one of mob -> Get on top of the beam at the boss -> Mobs respawn)

This can not scale to ilvl 32 because it is not a rare specific drop.

You are right for the number of secondaries, but after we all agreed on Versatility being the king of secondaries, 4 vers + 4 crit is in general preferred than 10 crit (because 90 % of the quest items with secondaries have crit as a secondary stat). There are 2 or 3 cases, where ilvl 26 quest item with vers will still have 8 or more, but they are such a tiny bit that I dont think its useful to make a separate list. After all, I have linked all the good items as "notable", and those are the only ones that can get a good enough stats on a ilvl 26 proc.

Ok fair enough. Although I very much doubt vers is best for everyone. For arcane, with most of my dmg being from missiles, I'd prefer crit & haste.

Yea, there are those special cases, but most of the time its preferred. I have found items scaling to 12 crit for waist/gloves/boots, which will still be good even with an ilvl 26 proc. Go check them out.

I think youd still probably be better off with vers, you're losing damage to every attack to add 50% to one or 2.

Crit only benefits the few% you can stack it, while vers benefits every attack, even your crits. Like 98% more use.

Saying, 2% crit will only give you 50% to 2 attacks while that same 2% as vers is to 100% of them.

100 damage for 100 casts = 10,000
100 for 98 casts and 2 crits = 10,100
102 for 100 casts = 10,200

You're gonna do crits with or without that extra crit rating, and vers benefits those too. Extra crit doesn't.

Sorry for the sidetrack, OP... i'm glad you're prioritizing versatility. Great thread.

Ok, done for good now. I have added all the gear + weapons that any cloth, leather character can use. Also, separated the weapons by type so it can be easily searchable. If you are a cloth or leather character, everything you may want to know is in here. Dropping the mic!
