It was a bug, the Ice Stone melts during Midsummer, but the bug occured during another event, and was continuously happening for the duration of the entire event. Thus, THE ICE STONE HAS MELTED meme was born.

Yeah I know, it got pretty annoying especially when somebody was selling an sf for 300g I quickly replied saying I'd buy it for 500g...then THE ICE STONE HAS MELTED along with trade chat spam basically rinsed out my offer. I whispered him laster asking if he still had it and he said "no sold it for 300g", that killed me.
