Naw, I distinctly remember this and the mechanical dragonling both auto targeting folks in stealth. Now I'm not sure it was intended or that they still do, but they did as late as cata

you are correct. gnomish battle chicken pulls stealthies, tested by Tigerwoodsz earlier today after seeing this post.

i dont know if it still works like that but at some point the pet level was/is equal to your engineering skill/5 so 300 engy=lvl 60 pet(gnome 63) so a level 60 npc will find 29-39 players ez

I've tried two separate battlegrounds to get this buff and to no avail.

I set up this macro:

/equipslot 13 Mindtap Talisman

I have seen it pull stealthies out multiple times. Switching to another on-use trinket triggers a cooldown, but switching to something like mindtap talisman that is just a stat stick works perfect.

I want to clarify that I don't seem to get the speed attack buff, but it is nice to just have the additional damage to start a fight and potentially find a stealthy. Long cooldown though.

EDIT: I tested the damage in a duel, and the battle chicken does basically 0 damage. Probably a lot more trouble than its worth messing with this thing once I realized that.

It no longer scales to engineering level but I can't remember exactly when they fixed it. Cata? Maybe?

According to the video it only does an ok amount of dmg when it enrages or something. About the attack speed it may not work in pvp setting. I have no clue.

Yeah it's not working in BGs from the 10 uses I did, the damage is so abysmal and it seems to die fairly easily too.

Really? The guy said it is very resistant too aoe. But this guy finds everything out and blizzard watches him 24/7. Wouldn’t be surprised if they did a quick hot fix.

It would stick around and follow (haven't tested BG stealth detection, @jancithqt), but I just kept looking for the chicken and noticing it dead. I was buff watching like a hawk also so maybe it lasted longer than I thought, but it definitely didn't last more than a teamfight. I'll keep testing it a bit more, I got nothing else to do. Sucks it's such a long CD though.

Wouldn't surprise me if it got fixed due to endgame competition however.
