...I think I hurt their feelings...?

if there that bothered about it just let them top what ever role they are in the dung and have a slower run to save all the QQ

Other then the public masterbation of this post... which make me think this isn't even a real post... but if it is...

If you want to tank, quit being a dick and que as tank, if your bored as a healer dont que as a healer, everyone expects everyone in the group to do their role so things go smooth rather then crazy. Really is it to much for the tank to expect the healer not to tank?

Yea... not complaining about gear. You might want to reread the OP; your hostility appears to be directed at something that doesn't in fact exist.

*ahem* Naeomie's point, if I understood it, was that between levels 15 and 20, the players you encounter have never been in dungeons before and don't know what they are doing, and due to the accelerated XP gain, they level beyond 20 well before they've really learned much about dungeoning and understanding that a healer can do more than just heal. Unless you're lucky enough to get someone in your group who is an experienced player levelling through a new character, you're basically either grouping with fellow F2P seasoned people, or you're playing with fresh newbies.

In my opinion, if you want to make lemonade out of your lemons, use it as an opportunity to demonstrate and teach new people what is possible. Rather than make it about you ("I DPS and tank because I can"), make it about the class (Paladins are a hybrid class capable of filling multiple roles, and in this way I'm helping the group get through the dungeon faster").

Hope that clears up a few things.

OH I THINK I GET IT. PALADINS R LIEK TEH MOVIE "SPLICE", RITE?

I had a group QQ about me starting the escort in WC before they were all there. The result? I killed the first pack by myself (on a rogue) then let the NPC die. I tried explaining to them he wouldn't be back and that I wouldn't die, but they refused to listen. I was "rude" for starting an escort, trying to speed things up. The result? None of us got a satchel or the loot from the last boss.

People are ignorant sometimes. Yes, you should stick to your role in a dungeon. But if a tank joins with only 400-500 HP, its pretty tough to NOT want to speed things up.

I think Kincaide has it right: Just don't be an ass and inform people what's going on. Most of the time you are running with true newbs (NEW players, as opposed to noobs, who are just bad). If you help them out they will not only appreciate it, but learn and be better the next time they join a random group.

Changing Azeroth, one newb at a time

Basically this.

People aren't going to learn their roles if someone does it all, and it wouldn't be the first time some over-geared imb...toon reacts too late to fulfill their role, resulting in a lot of drama.

Yes, by greatly reducing the amount of mobs inside Instances chain-pulling doesn't happen that often anymore, yes as e.g. geared Protadin the rest of the Group is in a sense just there to speed things up and yes, Healing (as well as Tanking) early Instances has become boring as hell, but no it isn't much fun for people to make them feel like fifth wheels.

I've been waiting forever to find a good reason to post this.
