So here's the scoop.
I'm a Holy Pally well on my way to twinkage - don't have BIS for every slot, but I'm getting there. I keep running instances with the RDF, and I'm selected as healer like 100% of the time. Thing is, my gear has reached a point that healing exclusively is boring because it takes 1 or 2 instant cast spells and my groupmate is back to 100% hp; so I usually run in and beat the shit out of the NPC's along with the DPS, and shoot heals out as needed.
And unless I'm grouped with other twinks, I'm topping the charts in DPS; and doing so much damage that the tank can't hold agro, so it often ends up with me fulfilling all 3 roles (healing, dpsing, and tanking) with some p2p tank with 400 hp crying because I stole his job, and occasionally DPS crying for the same reason... although usually the DPS don't care; they just sit back and /popcorn at the raging 'tank'.
Anywho, my question is this: Why does this bother people so much? Why do the tanks care if I pull a mob off of them - I mean, I'm the healer; if I pull, it's my problem, not the tank's (even though it's never actually a problem, cuz the instances are practically soloable at this point). Why do the DPS care? If I top their damage output, it only equates to a faster run; it's not like their being graded or anything... even if they were, 99% of the difference in performance has nothing to do with me being "exceptionally good" or them "not knowing how to play" but it's the difference between twink gear and the gear of the average level ~20 toon on the way to 85 who has no interest in gearing on the way... so, it makes sense that when I stick my hammer in something's face, that it does more damage than these other folks, cuz they're simply not geared...
...yet they're horribly offended when I outperform whatever role their trying to fulfill...
Have any of you run into this (retarded) problem? Is it poor sportsmanship or something for a healer to do more than heal?
