I talked to a GM regarding Invasions

We messaged in-game, and I asked him about weather or not Invasions would remain in the game as sort of a monthly event. He said that he wasn't sure, but he would definitely post it high up in the Blizzard Discussion boards as a suggestion. I told him how invasions ending on the 30th wouldn't make any sense, considering the theme of the expansion.

I can't be sure if he will do it or not, but he really seemed willing to bring it up to them.

And it may already be planed based on this WoW Legion preview, which shows no indications that invasions will be Pre-Patch only.

I know some of you who have a lot of the +10 warforges might see this as a nuisance, but in the grand scheme, this would be good for the community.

I can't imagine an expansion of bgs with few immensely powerful tinks who are grandfathered and other aspiring tinks realize they cannot obtain these powerful sets. I brought this up for the well-being of the tinking community, so the majority are not overshadowed for years to come by people who got their gear in a month. I have no pride in the grandfathered gear that I currently have on many of my toons. I simply went through lengths to obtain them because I wanted to be stronger. If I could make the various items I have been fortunate enough to get obtainable again, I would. Variety is the spice of life, and that applies to gearing as well.

When something is stripped from the game, it is a relief to those who have gotten it, but disappointment to the majority.

Besides, if this were to happen, many tinks wouldn't participate much since they have no care for the stat difference in bgs. For those that do, it's still a hell of a grind. But a less punishing time-frame.

I have 5 characters with at least 4 pieces of +10 war forged gear. I agree they should keep the invasion in the game but change the god damn method of expanding. Don't make me afk for 100hrs+ a week.. Cause I will..

Have ALL items 0/2.
Allow Coalesced Fel be wit upgrades armor.
Have an additional item that levels weapons.
THEN have a few ways of getting both. Some from dailies, some from crates, some from mob drops and maybe even a new way of obtaining. like a mini game?

I feel as tho some people on Bnet are anti-fun. They don't even bring up valid arguments. They list problems that can easily be patched.

+1 Stam so powerful

I mean, blizzard didn't make invasions for the sole purpose of appeasing us twinks lol

I'd be down with monthly invasions for the duration of legion :) Dunno if it would make sense lore wise though, one would assume that at some point throughout the expansion we're going to start "winning" and pushing em back/doing damage to their ability to send infinite demons against us

Mages shoot FIRE out the end of a Wooden Stick. We pull Mounts the size of Automobiles out of our (ass?). I have 3 entire Sets of Gear in my Druids "Backpack" at all times... The "Making sense" argument doesn't belong in a Fantasy Game.

The Theme of Legion is all out Invasion. They built actual Space Ships this time to fly all the way here (well teleported at least) and it "doesn't make sense" that they'd just give up Invading after 3 weeks. What does "make sense" is that they'd reduce the number of Invasions as we took the fight to them, and started winning. Except this is an MMO which will likely have another xpac after this so technically we will never win and they will always be here.

I don't have a problem with the idea but I think it's rather unlikely to be implemented. It's important to remember how trifling the difference is between 10/10 TF and just a normal pre-invasion twink in terms of stats.

Fuck it all and just play, no point stressing over something you can't change. If you can't handle the fact you're not bis then quit. It's quite simple really.

Sorry to be blunt, but its not worth stressing over when in the end people will come to the realization of either playing or quiting.

Items become bis and not bis many times through out the ages, so no point trying to predict whats going to happen. Blizzard always changes things.

P.S: I'm not saying anyone in this thread is like this, just speaking generally to the xpoff and twink community.

I made a Thread on the Forums about this exact thing Tuesday? You can see it HERE. I still thumbed up yours for greater exposure. And now I bumped yours too.

@DeLindsay , I just went to your thread, and I wanted to publicly say that your lead post was the most professional, well-structured work I've seen you (or anyone from here, for that matter) write in a long time. Well done! If we routinely took the high ground on the B.net forums, XP-off play would garner a lot more respect.

@Roboartist and everyone, this is a good endeavor, thank you for pushing for it. Frame it for the good of all WoW players, and Blizzard may yet notice.

Thanks, and ironically I posted it in that manner specifically to see if I'd get a better Blizzard response from my last one (both Honest, each different approach). The last time they banned me for 24 hours lol. So far Brutal Honesty seems to get the fastest Blizz response, although a negative one.

Yeah but that's invasions... It is not reasonable to keep invading when they have already arrived.

That makes no sense. They're invading Azeroth all over. This is the burning Legion, you kill a demon and it goes back to the twisting nether to revive. They aren't just going to stop when they take over the broken isles, they're going to try and take over the eastern kingdoms and Kalimdor

What kind of extreme casual do you have to be to want "titanforged" to be thát easily obtainable?

I don't think anticipated people doing them the way we are doing them. Although by now one would think Blizzard could anticipate such things.

There are several ways to "fix" the WF/TF issue.
1. Trade in x amount of one to upgrade to the next tier.
2. Allow all levels to use coalesced fel for upgrades.
3. As Lindentron suggested buy crates with shards( there is no telling how many pets I will have).
Across my characters I have thousands of shards. I am sure others have more than me.

There is no "Issue".

They're meant to be extremely rare, so get off these forums and start farming.

Game Masters aren't in direct contact with the Development team any more than we players are.

They're customer support, nothing more.

You act as if being "casual" at a video game is a sin.

The "issue" is the glut of of shards and of regular Warforged gear that we are dealing with.

You're already getting the gear from AFKing but yet that's not easy enough for ya?

Being a casual isn't the problem, Blizzard making the game to cater for casuals is.

It's what kills any form of difficulty in the game.
