GMs have different approaches to talking to people who are serious about it.
Role playing the it is not really always a good way to entertain or to simply calm down the person. but its really all that much more entertaining to see them go. play with them or not is all part of you though.
as for the name...
i also laughed at lulimation whatever that meant !
names are just that names. you got all rights to think its funny !
no harms in that.
i once got a GM there have to quote you the first text...
*a giant puff of smoke appears out of nowhere with a large bang, then a goblin appears in it* *cough cough* put too much powder in that one *cough cough* "hi what can i do for you?"
that was hilarious !
1/3rd of the GM are RPers by the way !

I would say more than 1/3, that or they all have macros.
I once got a GM that introduced him self normaly, later I asked why he didnt open with an RP dialog like the others, then an instant 9 line msg poped and asked me if that was better lol

actually, 2/3rd of them are.
GMs after all do not even know how the game works.
its how it works in the domain, i've been in their seat for internet connection problems for quite a while to know that they have nothing to do with blizzard themselves. their probably a bunch of people in one building answering calls all day long somewhere in india !
just like bell canada services are.
