The Immortal
Teemo is officially LEGIT. At first I was very skittish about his changes with the last patch. I almost thought he got nerfed. But let me tell you, the mushroom change where he can hold 3 at a time is complete ROFLs.
I've only played three games but I've been carrying my team both times and I've had the entire map covered in mushrooms. It's like a damn a minefield!
There's a couple things now that Teemo really excels at. First and foremost, he guarantees that your team will have the map control advantage. He is able to cut off escape routes and put mushrooms in places where your team can kite the enemy and trip up pursuers. His blind, now on a shorter cooldown, also serves as an excellent anti-carry too, against AD carries like the common twitch.
Teemo's map control is also the perfect counter to a jungler. I can shroom the dragon, bushes, blue/red buffs, etc. Each game I've played Teemo with so far have had enemy junglers. And every time they got completely shut down by my shroom control.
Sure, wards could achieve the same effect, but in mid elo range, warding things like the enemy blue or the dragon in the early laning phase usually doesn't happen all too often. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I lose games because of a lack of wards and map awareness with enemy junglers. With Teemo, this isn't nearly a problem.
And, of course, he has an absolutely amazing laning phase. His poison hurts so bad early game making his poking ability one of the best early game. I can even put a Garen in his place and have him tower hugging for mercy.
My verdict: Teemo may not be a carry, nor is he intended to be. But he is an excellent utility carry/anti-carry with his blind. Pit him against just about anyone in the laning phase and he can severely reduce their ability to farm effectively, giving his whole team an advantage.
