...leveled fishing from 1 to 375 almost entirely on Twilight Highlands fishing nodes (exceptions being fishing dailys and ~3 hours of fishing in the STV comp) and then started logging the time I spent fishing for this f%@#er... which came to a grand total of 35.5 hours...

YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gratz!

Waste of time getting this mount tbh.

Can't argue with that! xD

But really... is any aspect of a video game not a waste of time?

Admittedly, had I'd know I would have sunk ~40 hours of my life into this, I never would have started... but after a while, my rational was "Hell I've invested this much time into it, I'm not stopping now!"

...I'm way more happy than I should be about this!
<

bad bad bad baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad logic. Thinking like that will totally hose you on investments, jobs, relationships, hobbies, projects, and anything else that takes time, money, sweat, blood, or any other type of consideration.

look forward, not back.

gratz on the mount though.

For Alliance I've found it pretty easy to go up and down the coast in Twilight Highlands, the lower half (the beach around the obsidian forest is almost entirely clear if you avoid the section with nagas (get out of the water at the section of broken dock across from Highbank and run on the beach and you'll have no problem with them). You can also fish around the docks of Dragonmaw Port if you're careful, and the river is completely clear for the most part until you get to the delta. Do this while queueing for bgs and you usually get a few spawns after you get out of a game.

Edit: Place names ftw.

This, never do this with any real investment. It's okay in video games, but seriously, if you do this financial you're going to screw yourself.

including video games...your time is as real as anything else you have...except a weeeee bit more import. When you spend it, its gone forever.

if u think the future effort is worth it, continue...but disregard everything that's already happened.

Here's the route I took:

THRoute.png

Starting at Victor's Point (which was my hearth location) I'd go to the waterfall just north of it and move clockwise across the red line. Once I got to the southwest end of the Twilight Shore (where the solid red line stops) I'd hearth, or if hearth was on CD, suicide and spirit-fly to Victor's Point; click "return to GY" then res. Rinse and repeat.

After every couple of laps, I'd suicide and fly over to Kirthhaven and "Return to gy" and res there and run to the red circle on the map, where there is a little pond that would have 2 or 3 pools in it depending on how long you've let it sit... it was from that pond that I got the Sea Turtle.

This is directly from a pm to someone who will remain unnamed who wanted to know routes in order to bot the turtle, and no it's not goldendays, and i will say no more. I wouldn't bother telling you this but I dont feel like editing it. Enjoy:

Not really sure how to the bot works if you die or something being that it's cata zones. I can put together a solid route for twilight highlands that you should be safe on unless some of the npcs fighting each other glitch up and end up idle and hostile. In the meantime you want to go to twilight highlands. The best way is just east through wetlands, and to get to wetlands you go south though arathi, nbd. One you get there you'll find a river and a delta at the end that leads to a bay, with a horde phased city in the north and npcs fighting on the beach in the south. You gotta be 84 to unphase the city and use anything in it, so you wont be able to fish pools there. North of that place has a decent beach, but nagas path out of the water and you are guaranteed deaths. South of the NPCs is an alli town that has a decent amount of pools around the outside, some of the pools can be difficult to fish in so im not sure how well a bot would do, you yourself could check it out. South of Highbank and the dock there are a few nagas in the water that will aggro in some fishing spots.

Personally I would suggest you go down the river, go around the nagas, fish the south inner bay area and by the horde npcs fishing, then head out to the inner edge of highbank for an easy pool or two. Then swim between highbank and the land to the dock there and head south and check for pools in the immediate vicinity. I would not suggest going all the way down the beach, I've found it to be pretty devoid of pools, although they can spawn there. Then head across from the dock towards the delta through the land, there are horde friendly mobs and you'll be fine. Then head up the river and repeat.
